How to unlock the Fashionista achievement in The Good Life - Definitive Guide
If youre able to play the PC version, there is an exploit that can allow you to craft items without having the necessary resources available.
This method was found by Pikenshiro on the Steam discussion boards (link at the bottom of the solution if anyone is interested) so I can't take credit, but in using this method, I was able to unlock
The method:
Note that although the method still works as of 11/01/21, this may be patched out in a future update, so get it while you can.
Lastly, here's the link to the original post I found the exploit on: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1452500/discussions/0/4809273...

The Bringin' Home the Bacon achievement in The Good Life worth 153 pointsEarned a total of £500,000.
and
The Fashionista achievement in The Good Life worth 633 pointsAcquired 48 different equippable items.
The method:
1. Make sure you have some sandy caterpillars and suspicious liquid and go to the post office and buy some cotton fabric. You can use the exploit described here and in the Bringin' Home The Bacon achievement to obtain the suspicious liquid if you don't have the materials.
2. Click on "need some clothes."
3. Click on "smooth, beautiful fabri".
3. When the shopkeep says "how many?", DO NOT CONFIRM PURCHASE. Scroll down to any of the clothing items that you might need. Note that you may have to click the screen to activate the mouse.
4. When you have the yellow border around the clothes, confirm the purchase. If done correctly, you should have been able to purchase the clothing item without needing any of the resources the game is requesting.
5. Repeat the process until all the clothes are purchased. If you run out of cotton fabric, buy some more. If the fabric is back ordered, use the exploit to get more fabric.
6. Achievement should pop once all items are purchased.

Any materials guide available for those of us on Xbox?
By Mortilect on 18 Nov 2021 21:41
You're still able to make items without the materials as of 11/23 however, my tracker didn't go up on xbox. Wondering if this will glitch or if it'll pop after 48 even though the tracker isn't going up. Can anyone confirm this yet?
EDIT: It works. The xbox tracker is just delayed from the PC.
