How to unlock the Garimpeiro achievement in The Good Life - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to buy a Pickaxe (30£) from McAvoy Construction.
There are four excavation locations in the game :
- Blencarrick Quarry
- Weskirk Cave
- John Peel's Pot
- The Old Mine
I would recommend excavating in Weskirk Cave, John Peel's Pot and the North side of Blencarrick Quarry. These three locations are of limited surface, without enemies so you won't be interrupted.
On the opposite, the Old Mine is a maze and the path is full of electric fences that hurt you if you touch them, and the south side of Blencarrick Quarry is very vast and has a group of badgers at night, making it annoying to navigate.
Final note : the excavate spots seem to respawn between 3 and 7 days, depending on the rarity of the materials found in that spot (rare spots are usually at a certain height, requiring a cat transformation, and often give Large Diamonds).
