At the end of the first area, the boss is a behemoth. Bring a couple of the enemy's health down to low and if the Behemoth charges at you, it will likely hit his allies killing them.
If you want to keep trying, you can quit mid-fight to the dashboard and then start the game again to resume at the start of the fights.
