How to unlock the Youthulhu achievement in The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker - Definitive Guide

So everyone online seems confused about what is required so I can only give you my account.

Believe and encourage everyone's powers and behaviors and continue to ask questions until they turn green or your unable to ask anymore. Do this every single day. This achievement I found easier to do alongside the Inquisitive achievement because you will need to ask a lot of questions in order to make them turn green. Keep using hint after hint until your unable to in order to keep asking questions. This is an account of what I did and I got the achievement near the start of day 5.

Nathan:
Encourage him to date Marianna, burn the rocking chair, tell him its his fault Molly died, talk to him about time travel, Saturn is the key phrase

Marianna:
Talk to her about her dreams, call her a siren, tell her you are attracted to her at every advance

Elin:
Believe she can shapeshift and encourage her to do so, get her to demonstrate, talk about afterlife, talk about herbalism

Bryce:
Believe in his midnight hour, tell him its only to take picture, its okay to steal, you want to demonstrate teleportation, you are Dekker, you are in his midnight hour, the hooded figure is Death, the hooded figure is Dekker

Claire:
You want to see David, encourage her talking to the girl, encourage her to take care of David, talk to her about her parents,

Jaya:
Tell her you want to encourage powers, ask about the patients abilities

Professor Warwick:
Encourage him to take the opportunity

Jasmine:
Tell her that she is ugly, tell her she lacks self confidence, talk about the insurance money for the fire

Glyn:
Tell him that the door is not shut forever, tell him to open a door back

Scarlett:
Ask her to demonstrate being a dreamwalker, her to openly talk about her power

Lacey:
Tell her the body was found and that it was the husband

For anyone having issues with the achievement, the walkthrough listed below had a lot of extra questions to type in to ask patients. It's what helped me raise my insanity, with some wiggle room left over too. Credit goes to FemmeFatality13, as they posted it in a thread here on TA:

So close to getting this without any hints. 98%.

So close... Have to play another 3 hours anyway.

There is actually a way to track your insanity points through the Xbox App on your phone.

This is such a boring achievement to go for if you don’t get it on your first run. There’s so much repetition that it drags on. What was once interesting becomes tiring.

You’re likely to get a different murderer, but the unique responses (related to whoever is the murderer) that crop up after the first act aren’t enough to keep it fresh.

It’s the only achievement I need. Maybe I should leave it for another time, but I want that completion. I was 89% of the way there...

Typing out all these questions is making my eyes bleed. Hope it's worth it

Yes, it's worth it. Made my eyes bleed as well, but worked like a charm. Thx to NicoleRenee00 for linking to ps-trophies...

I got all the achievements apart from this - can it be done on a separate playthrough? I am currently on 90%

Use this guide from PlaystationTrophies. Highly recommend you plug in a keyboard to your Xbox for the answers you have to type. It will go by way quicker and easier doing it this way, but you will have to idle the game a bit to get the '8 hours played' achievement. https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/302273-the-i...

I'm noticing that this guide has some errors, or sometimes I will clear all the regular questions using UP on the D-pad, but then can't hit Y to type questions. Instead the character will lock out saying you can't ask anymore questions despite that person being still Yellow.

HIGHLY MISSABLE

This trophy is considered highly missable as it requires a full playthrough of the game and you need to select questions that leads to more scenes/responds/questions being given and answered. Additionally, you're required to type a few questions to discover more scenes/questions/responds. Therefore, I have titled my Platinum Walkthrough with + All Characters Green. To make a character GREEN, it means you have gotten all the responses and questions out of that patient so there is nothing to ask them anymore, which helps ensure you reach 400 insanity points near the end of the game. It is hard to get on your own without using the Walkthrough provided to you. The trophy will unlock in Act Five: Insanity, Please. It should be noted that you cannot see how much points you have.

This will require a full completion of the game, not only to green for all characters, but all possible scenes unlocked before reaching green. It is highly unlikely to acquire this achievement and a walkthrough is highly recommended. Use this walkthrough from the sister site to make sure that all scenes are opened. It will unlock very near the end of ACT 5.
