How to unlock the Bidiots: Shark Bait achievement in The Jackbox Party Pack 2 - Definitive Guide
Now you will need at least 3 tabs open, go to http://jackbox,tv and enter the room code on your screen, once in the game you will be asked to draw two pictures with each player, Make sure you can tell which is your player's paintings. Once drawn its time to start the auction.
In order for the option to take out loans to appear someone must spend all their money to reach $0, now hopefully the first drawing is your main player's drawing which means just have players 2 and 3 bid up to their maximum of $3000 to reach $0. Now all 3 players will get the chance to 'Get A Loan' which will add $1000 to your money though you will pay back $1500 at the end. Its best to get loans with all 3 players to avoid your player losing more than them.
Now what you want to do is bid on every painting drawn by the other players with your player for the lowest amount of $400 to maximise profit when the auction ends and have the other players bid their highest for your paintings. During each auction you have the option to 'Call the Bank' which opens the option to take out a loan at the end of the auction where you again want to 'Get A Loan' with all 3 players.
Do this 3 times and you'll be given 'Bad Credit' and the option to call the bank will be gone, you're now set for the achievement.
Play the game out and once all paintings are bought its time for the profits to be added up, now you bought all the paintings cheap which meant 2 things, 1. You get a big profit and 2. the other players got a tiny amount back.
As all 3 players took out loans they all lose the same amount so who ever wins will meet the achievements criteria and it will be yours!
When any of the players gets down to $1,000, the bank will come around at the end of the round and offer loans to any player willing to take them. Each loan is worth $1k but you will have to pay back the loan + $500 in interest at the end of the game. (If you take out 3 loans, then you will owe $4,500 at the end of the game). Take out 3 loans (max amount allowed) throughout the game.
You are given three clues on top of your bidding window that pertain to three of the eight paintings available. These tell you the resale value of the paintings (each player has a different set of clues!). If everyone drew their art to best of their abilities (or at least tried to), you should be able to tell what painting is what. You want to keep the different between the resale value and your bid as small as possible. Go for the more expensive paintings and try to pass on the "cheap" ones.
At the end of the game, you will tally up your total profit minus any loans taken out. Come out on top and the trophy is yours!
If playing with other people then you will need to work for this one. Pay attention to clues as much as you can and use the "screw" powerup to force other players to bid on the less expensive paintings. You can also bid the bare minimum on every painting in case no one else bites. That way you still make a profit, but will not pay too much out of pocket.
If using the Multi-user method, then have 1 player bid the minimum on all paintings (except for the one used for Art of the Screw, see trophy details for that one). Also make sure they take out 3 loans.
