How to unlock the Bracketeering: Button Masher achievement in The Jackbox Party Pack 4 - Definitive Guide

This is very easy to earn, just a pain to set up. You must have 16 players at once in order for the brackets to be 4 way matches.

Anyway, once you have that, when the first 4 way bracket appears, give each choice 1 vote. This will lead to a tie breaker. On any single player, click your vote 1 time and don't touch it with the other players. That answer will win and you'll get your achievement! It'll pop right away, so there's no need to finish the game after that :)

You definitely have 16? There's no trick to it. Once you have 16 players are once, each round will be 4 options to vote for instead of 2.

I figured it out today. I think I was grumpy yesterday morning, but signing in the profiles quicker seemed to work. The first few times I noticed it wasn't showing anyone in the audience till after the game started. Once the audience was showing beside the room code, I tried it again (took another try or two). MAKE SURE THERE ARE 16, then register an audience member, if you're experiencing issues, so you can see if there's an issue before starting the game. If they're showing 2 brackets, start again. So glad that's over. +1 for me.

This could possibly be done with only 13 players.... one of the brackets should have 4 players while the other have an AI answer. If that one bracket wins, it might still pop.

I already have it, so I can't test if it works.

Might want to mention that the achievement won't pop until the next voting starts.

I can confirm this works with 13 players, like Sasha says. I did it today with 2 phones, 2 tablets and 1 PC with 3 browsers and 9 total tabs going.

The method to insuring this works is that every player needs to enter an answer. If you leave one blank, it'll drop it. It worked perfectly with 16 tabs on Chrome using the SessionBox extension. When answering becomes available, pause the game and enter something on all 16 tabs so you don't have to sweat the 30 second timer. When you unpause, it'll be ready to go.

Did this today. Took me a few attempts. I tried with 13 tabs (1 Opera, 1 Chrome, 1 Safari and 10 Private Safari tabs on my Mac), no audience members. Once the game started, pause the game and fill in the answers for each tab and press submit. Once you unpause the game, all answers will submit all at once if they are all different from the others. The game will match up 4. Using 4 of the tabs, press on one option so each of them have a score of 1. It'll go to overtime. With just one tab, press a few times on the answer you chose. It'll pick that one as the overall winner of that round and the achievement will pop.

Might be worth updating in the solution that you need all players to enter an answer.

You have to enter DIFFERENT answers with each tab. I wrote "a" on all of them and it only gave me 2 brackets. Worked immediately after entering "a", "b", "c", etc. ans the answer

Used 13, and got it no problem. Submitted answers while I had the game paused, and all submissions must be unique. After it unlocked, I added an audience member (tab 14) and forced another tie for the other brackeetering achievement I needed.

A minimum of 16 Players is required for this trophy.

When there are 16 Players, the head to head matchups will be 4v4 instead of the normal 1v1. To unlock the trophy, all 4 Players in the matchup must get a tied number of votes. When a tie happens, the Round will go into overtime and a “Sudden Death” will happen. Players will have to “button mash” the answer they would like to win. The answer that gets the most hits will win and the trophy will unlock.
