How to unlock the The Forlorn: I achievement in The Last Campfire - Definitive Guide

You'll unlock this shortly after entering the forest. Continue along the only path to a caged spirit and complete its simple puzzle.

Story Related.

This will be the second trophy you earn in the game. After you enter the Forest area for the first time, you’ll need to interact with a caged Ember and complete a puzzle to move forward (The Guiding Light). As soon as you do, the pathway will open and the trophy will unlock.

The solution to the puzzle is as follows:

  • Move the Golden Statue onto the button on the left
  • Climb the stairs and pull the chain at the top
  • When the platform finishes moving, go down the stairs, drop the chain down, then climb down it
  • Move the Golden Statue onto the button on the right
  • Climb back up the and pull down the chain on the right far
  • Climb up all the stairs and interact with the cage on top
