To fight this boss you need to find the four family crests. Here is a guide to finding them.

Once you have all the crests, you need to go to the area where you beat the Drowned Crypt boss Edwynn the Shadowscourge Horror and go to the very bottom where the corrupted door is and go thru with the Last Mark. Once inside, place the four crests and proceed and you can fight this boss. You will get a heart of Nycrix for killing him along with a note and the bright comet charm. You will also get this achievement.
