Big WARNING here I personally have experienced as of 2/19/2022 a glitch that locked me out of upgrading my tree completely forcing me to restart the game so I would like to provide a personal tip here for anyone going for the 100%

Thanks so much for this! You saved me sooooo much time!
I had made it to the first boss in my game and the tree house upgrade was still locked, so I started another game and the tree house upgrade became available shortly after the tutorial this time. BIG thumbs up.

I've seen this too late, I hit the end game thinking it would unlock then as the bestiary was bugged and unlocked the remaining ones on the last boss.
Disappointed is an understatement. Thumbs up though for the warning to new players, it's a fun game so have no probs starting a fresh save.

truly it does suck but if you at least kinda enjoyed it in all honesty it took me i think 6 or so hours to speedrun the game through to get everything done again. since i didn't need to buy the turrets again i skipped that part entirely and only did what i needed

Went through a 2nd time and everything unlocked the way it should. Now got the 100% :) speed run took me just under 5 hours as I kept a Collectible log on where the armours and weapons for each character were

Just FYI, you talk to Melvin AFTER the first turret defense, that's when Big Mama unlocks.
