The Last Remnant

This will require you to kill the Void Intruder.

VI is found in the Final Fortress area of Seibenbur. He will mostly spawn randomly, like most rare monsters, but he will be there by default while doing the "The Disappearing Knights" quest in Melphina on Disc 1. It looks like a demon, and you should see him straight after you're finished loading the area if you're doing the aforementioned quest.

It's the second in a chain of three, and should be obtainable before the Nest of Eagles part in the main storyline.

You'll get the quest in the same way as the one before it ("The Broken Seal") by speaking to a Melphinian Knight in the Melphina pub, and then speaking to Roberto in Melphina Castle.


At my Battle Rank (around 50) he wasn't too hard. Just remember to attack asymmetrically, and by that I mean don't Deadlock all your Unions at the same time, so that you all Unions can alternate between attacking and healing out of Deadlock seeing as the "Keep your HP up!" option won't always be available. The guest union is also very helpful, so make certain to heal it once in a while, too.
