How to unlock the This is The End achievement in The Last Stand: Aftermath - Definitive Guide

User WizardSleeve08 has said that a new update has fixed this and you no longer have to do 5 runs in a row. You can take a break and earn runs over time.

Let me start by first saying that this achievement can be a bit buggy but it is reasonably obtainable. The game requires you to complete 5 runs. I had done a total of 7 runs (including the main storyline mission run). What worked for me was doing 5 runs in a row from the start of selecting a character to make it all the way to the lab and injecting yourself all in a single session without turning off your console. I suggest playing the game normally and leveling your character up to level 100. After this I suggest you begin your gaming session on a free day as it can possibly take the entirety of a day. I started on this achievement on my third run. It was early and I had the whole day to myself. I basically bought up lots of the permanent supplies and weapons and tried speed running from the start to the end. I only would stop to sell stuff to the trader or to find gas. The center paths on the map are usually faster as there are less stops. Once you have arrived in the lab (final area) you will be instructed to enter it. If you have already completed the main storyline you can just speed run into the serum room. You do not have to clear the zombies and the armored charger. You just have to avoid them and get passed them. You can take it slow or you can rush past them. Inject your character with the serum to have the game count it as a run complete. This counts as 1/5 total runs completed.

Additional notes: You can back out to the main menu to prevent a death and it will still track. I believe shutting off your xbox may stop the tracker from working. If you do turn off your console you may have to start your 5 runs in a row again. It will be very frustrating but remember that you can just speedrun a whole run without having to kill every single enemy. I was averaging a complete run in around 45-60 minutes. I was also level 100 and had plenty of infinite weapons in the armory that spawned in at the beginning.

I hope this helps! I was only the 2nd person to 100% this so I hope this clears any confusion. If you have any questions please comment or message me directly.

Cheers!

If the game crashes or you manually quit the app your streak has reset. Same goes if you shut down the console (obviously). Don't know about quick resume since I never use it but...wouldn't take that chance.

Bonus tip: I did the 5 run streak earlier on, before even hitting lv50 (stealthed a lot, thus didn't level up efficiently). Lacking access to the good gear at the base camp I ended up buying insurance, then before injecting the serum dropped all items except my best gun, ammo and batteries. Very powerful start at next to no cost. 👍

Great game, especially when it decides to crash midway through. And don't get me started on performance in the last zone (hell) and the last stop especially. Feels like i'm playing crysis on an android phone from 2014.

For anyone scared off by this one, this has been patched in an update.

You no longer need to do one big marathon day. I completed my runs over the course of a few days and they all tracked properly.

I'll mention it in the guide then. Thanks for the update!

I just want to also confirm that this can be done over multiple days. Unfortunately insurance is no longer in the game do to people exploiting it and closing the game once the death screen is up did not save me from death, unfortunately. Great guide!

They must have fixed it then. It used to be that it had to be in one sitting. Good to know, thanks!

You need to go to the laboratory 5 times without leaving the game

After the patches, I got the trophy for 5 outings right away, even from an old save; I didn’t need to go through 5 times in one session without leaving the game, as was previously necessary.

The trophy is glitchy and only counts the number of runs within one game session. When you turn off the game, the count of completed missions is reset, but you can leave the console in sleep mode.
1 - Start the game from the base and, without turning off the game, reach the end of the location, having first purchased insurance for things in the store for points.
2 - At the end of the location, throw away all the things, leaving the 3 most necessary ones (as a rule, these are the best rifles).
3 - When you appear at the base, your new character will have things returned (the chance is NOT 100% but still very high).
4 - Go through all the cards to the end 5 times WITHOUT turning off the game and get a trophy.
