How to unlock the Biz-Bender achievement in The Legend of Korra - Definitive Guide

There are 5 ranks of items, C, B, A, S, and SS. It seems that each chest will give you something completely random, but the smaller chests are more likely to only give you items that are below rank A. The larger chests will give you a higher rank item the faster you're able to destroy them. I have found an S rank item in a small chest, so it's possible to find them there, just very, very unlikely.

If you're missing a higher ranked item, you can go to Chapter 7 and find two large chests on Air Temple Island which you can destroy. If the item you need wasn't given to you, you can quit and reload the level and it will start you right back at the beginning of Air Temple Island.

Also, I'm not quite sure why, but every time I beat the last boss I got Avatar Wan's teapot. Not sure if it's something you get for getting a certain rank on the fight, but if it's the only item you're missing (it's the item that's on the bottom right of the list) try beating the last boss and see if he gives you one.

Here is an image that shows every item:

No matter how hard I try I cannot seem to snag the last trophy from the boss. The other ones you are spot on with.

Small chests will yield CBA and the occasional S. There is no SS unless the very last piece is SS.

The chest I found it in, was the chest behind the Fire barrier that's behind the wall you can break that's right next to the spirit you can grind the cabbages with.

To get the S rank items constantly out of the big chests, Ensure that your chi bar is fully charged, Do your top combo so X x5 then follow it by a Y, I always get the chest to open up with an S item using that combo after finshing the combo. Either use your max chi at all times item or instead charge it up first.

Any chance you can list the items and what rank they are also as itll make it easier to find what ranks i am looking for.

I've beaten the last boss 3 times, didn't get any item from him. Got a gold on the fight and platinum on the pro bending match. For me its missing 3 items: Airbender glider staff, Pai Sho piece and Avatar Wan's tea pot. Anyone can tell me how to find these? Thanks.

PS: I played on casual, don't know if it's relevant.

Does the element you open the chest with play a part? Just a guess, but I always use Wind. I'm on the final level of my extreme run and I'm still missing 3 items and strangely one of them is a rank C...

The drop is dependent on how much damage you do to the chest. So equip the Max Chi/0.5HP, Double Fists and 2x Atk/0.5HP Talismans and do a 5x X + Y Combo and you should get and S item. Chapter 6 Air Chest.

It has nothing to do with damage.
Anyway I finally got my last piece on stage 6 extreme.

I finally got the teapot (the SS item) after beating the final boss on normal with a platinum ranking. I think you have to get a platinum ranking on the boss, but I don't have any hard evidence. It took me 3 tries, the first time I got a silver on the boss and platinum on the pro-bending thingy. Second time I got a gold on the boss and a platinum on the pro-bending. Neither of those gave me the teapot. Final try I got the platinum on both and ended up getting the teapot.

This achievement has become the bane of my existence! I am missing at least two C items as well as 1 B and everything above A. No matter how much I smash into a chest it always gives me an A item, never anything above or below. I have beaten the game on Normal and Extreme and haven't received the Tea Pot either.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I really would like to 100% this game...

+1 to TimCheong above for difficulty affecting basic chests. Also with the farming method he mentioned you can also farm the ten cabbages. When you spawn after dying here a guy will be in front of you. Switch to water and kill him for a cabbage.

just wanted to add to the solution in order to get the SS rank item (Teapot) easily is by playing on Casual with max bending powers and max damage half health talisman max charge talisman shadow fist and healing ,although in order to get the gold you want to use water bending skills as soon as he disappears onto the gloating rocks that way it will be much easier and take a lot less time to kill the boss in the required time to get the gold hope this helps people out with this achievement

I only missing the "Pai Sho piece"...is there any chest in the game who has a higher chance to get this item? I played chapter two over and over again and in the Fire chest (near the end of the first section) is the S Rank Item "Airbender glider staff"

I noticed that too. I was only missing Amon's mask and it took 30 or more large chests until I finally got one. Each one would only give me items ranked lower than S, until the mask finally showed up. Just keep going at it, it'll take a while.

For getting lower rank items, Difficulty influences item drop quality. On Normal I was one hitting wooden chests (Chapter 2) and getting Rank B items, on Casual I got Rank C and on Extreme, Rank A. (This was in Chapter 2, you can easily farm the chest that triggers two chi-blockers after opening it, let them kill you and repeat, until you get all on that Tier that you are missing. Then complete, and adjust the difficulty for Ranks A - C. As for Rank S and SS, I can confirm you can get all items from the Chest behind the Air bending barrier on Chapter 6. Hope this helps.

I didn't have any luck with chapter 7's chests for my final Type S, just a lot of As. Go to Chapter 6 and go to the first breakable wall on the right. It has an air barrier and chest. Do a couple x's and some y's for a combo and I've all 3 S's and even a teapot! If you don't get your item, let the things there kill you or quit/resume to start again.

So I kept doing this method and was getting an S item every once in a while, just not the one I needed (Pai Sho piece). After the first cut scene after you save the spirits for the first time, I would go hit the wall and the chest, getting mostly A's (this is on normal). I then switched to extreme, got the check point right before the first big spirit creature guy, and headed back to the air chest. I would do 3 x and then two Y's. I got 3 S items in a row and finally got my achievement. Not sure if difficulty has anything to do with it, but that's what worked for me.

Items A,B,C you will gain by breaking chests throughout levels. easy enough

In order for you to use the strategy you have to unlock the shadow fist talisman so go to korra's room and enter (Right, Right, Left, Left, X)

S rank items are easier to get on a harder mode(extreme), i played through level 5 The South Pole, to gain the S rank items at the very beginning where you fight the henchmen to gain your fire bending back, then if you turn around and go backward there is a chest that requires fire bending to open equip the following items (POW x2,HP 1/2), (Full Charge), (Shadow Fist). then combo the best with the longest string of fire bending combo and you will gain a S rank item, you have to then finish the level (including the Naga level with the mechs) and you can repeat this process

S Rank items Include Air bender Glider Staff, Amon's Mask and Pai Sho Piece.

To gain the final Item the SS rank Item
. Assuming you have All the bending Styles Maxed out and the following items. (Healing),(POW x2,HP 1/2), (Full Charge), (Charge Armor). if you replay the very last level on casual all you have to do is beat the level as quickly as possible without dying. Gold or silver medal will get you the final SS rank item.

Here is a YouTube video explaining more about the final item

Not a sulution but a tip:
Many people have all the higher rank stuff, but loads of c items to get.if you need any C item, load up chapter 2 on causal.there is plenty of small chest throught out the level.in very easy places.simply destroy one and if it's not the c item you need, quit and resume.i did this for all my c items and it worked like a charm.you can also grap a cabbage whilst your boosting you c items. Also the items don't count till you finish the mission.hope this helps.

Throughout the game you can find various Vanity Items in chests, ranging from common objects to very rare ones. These items can’t be equipped and don't help in battle, but at the end of the chapter these items are added to your collection and provide a Spirit Energy reward. You can increase the quality of Vanity Items in chest by doing as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. Meaning you can get a higher ranked item the faster you open the treasure chest. There is a total of 5 Vanity Ranks: C, B, A, S and SS. It should be noted that smaller chest will drop the C and B ranked items while bigger versions of chest will drop items ranging from A to S but can rarely drop a SS item.

Thankfully there are multiple ways to farm these treasure chests if you're missing items:

  1. If you're missing the ranked C or B items, then it's best to replay Chapter Two: Powerless. This chapter has a lot of chests in it, but if you just want a particular item. Get to an alley with a chest in it and collect the item, the area will end up getting sealed off and two enemies will appear to kill Korra. Simply let these two enemies kill you if you didn't get the ranked C item you wanted. You will restart at the last checkpoint and it doesn't take long to get back to the same location again. Rinse and repeat this as much as you want until you gotten the ranked C or B item that you needed. Once you do obtain it, don't forget to finish and complete the Chapter for it to count towards your collections.
  2. If you are a player who needs the higher ranked items (A and S, but can include the rare SS item) then farm them on Chapter Six: Spirits Rising. At the start of the chapter, get to the first treasure chest behind a breakable stone wall and an Air barrier, but before getting this chest make sure you trigger the auto save point check point by going a little further up the hill. Now turn back around and let the dark spirits kill Korra (make sure you have about four items have HP 1/2 equipped on you). You'll respawn back on the hill, so turn back around and get the chest all over again and dark spirits will appear. Let them kill you again until you get the desired ranked A or S items you wanted. Once you do obtain it, don't forget to finish and complete the Chapter for it to count towards your collections.
  3. If you're missing the SS item it can be obtained from the final boss fight on Chapter Eight: Old Foe. It doesn't matter which difficulty you fight the final boss on because if you achieve either Gold or higher medal, then you'll be rewarded with the SS item called: Avatar Wan's tea pot. It should also be noted that this item can drop from any chest in the game as long as it was a big treasure chest. it's a rare chance of it happening but it can. It can also drop from farming method number 2 as listed above.

Below is a list of item names in the exact order in rows:

  1. Cabbage, Wanted poster, Water Tribe necklace, Blue spirit mask, Rally invitation
  2. Yuan, Exterminator pack, Airbender head shaver, Telescope, Airbender glider staff
  3. Fried Fish, Flower basket, Papaya melon, Radio, Amon's mask

First method : For treasures of ranks up to S, CHAPTER SEVEN- THE HEART OF CHAOS is ideal. The first world and two chests of the huge arena. The first chest is behind the cliff on the rock. The second one is in front of the entrance to the huge arena. Broke the chests, went out to the chapter selection menu, went back in, and repeat until you open all the treasures up to rank S.

Second method : Break everything that comes your way in one chapter or another, but deal with chests and chests blocked by elements so as not to destroy them completely, at most you can just open or break only the lid of the chest .

Here is the list: Rank C -Cabbage; Yuan; Fried Fish; Earth Kingdom dice; Dragon kite; Wantedposter; Exterminator pack; Flower basket; Pentapus. Rank B - MoverPoster; Water Tribe necklace; Airbender head shaver; Papaya melon;Tui and La; Stuffed animal; Blue spirit mask. Rank A - Radio;Gramophone player; Electrified glove; Rallyinvitation.

Regarding treasures of rank S - stupidly destroy chests using magic, just destroy them, not open them.

Here's the list: Rank S- Airbender glider staff; Amon's mask; Pai Shopiece.

The last treasure of Avatar Wan's tea pot - rank SS is opened by receiving a gold medal on the last boss in CHAPTER EIGHT - OLD FOE , or falls out randomly in CHAPTERTWO - POWERLESS , at the moment where there is a fire magic barrier , only the chest must be destroyed , not opened, and yes, everything needs to be done the first time , otherwise, after replaying there will be a different item.

I received an SS level item, Ven's teapot, or in the fifth chapter, the South Pole, or in the sixth - the world of spirits. I do not remember exactly. But not for the battle with the last boss, and not in the second chapter.

A small correction, to get the teapot avatar van you need to get not a gold, but a platinum medal for the last boss, the easiest way to do this is on the “Casual” difficulty level using the “Full Charge”, “Charge Armor” and “Speed Up” talisman. And if after the victory in the final battle in the pro-Bender arena during the credits you didn’t get the achievement, don’t worry, just go to the game->collection and the achievement is yours.

It took me a long time to get S-rank items in the seventh chapter. I decided to go through the sixth chapter and received three items at once. Coincidence? Don't think.

By the way, in order for the items to be counted, you must complete the chapter (otherwise the items will not be counted. Tested on cabbage), and the trophy will drop out after entering the item room.

The SS teapot fell out of the last boss on an easy difficulty level, it seems to me because the teapot didn’t fall out the first time, I need to take 2 points into account. 1 - in a battle with a boss in the avatar state in space, there is no need to use the AOE skill only basic attack 2 - When the boss is defeated, there is no need to run headlong and poke To finish it off, we stand quietly waiting for the kettle.

An alternative option, tested by me through long farming, all SSS class items can be knocked out at the beginning of chapter 7, the very first chest of the wind, go to the arena where the 1st giant spirit is located, you will see the save icon, but do not enter the arena, otherwise the path back will be blocked, go back to the chest, knocked out, dropped no, immediately kill yourself on the spirits and press continuum and start from the place near the arena and so on farm the same chest.
