Chef Yu in Nissan Cho sells upgrades for the number of buns you can carry at one time. Just keep buying these until you have the maximum of 9 buns.
If you need more money, speak to Wu Lutian in Eiraku Cho to replay memories and collect coins from fallen enemies. Those in the Military Factory are easy to defeat and have decent drops.
