How to unlock the Intergalactic Planetary Scavenger achievement in The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame - Definitive Guide

This isnt really a full on solution but more of some tips. First, only the bricks count towards the full completion (credit to mathguy for pointing this out). I initially thought you needed to scan every item, but you do not! However, there are some benefits to scanning the items, a large majority go towards the items you need to complete quests. It helps to limit the amount of backtracking you have to do.

Second, dont bother trying to complete all the bricks on your first run through. Almost every world I can think of cannot be completed without having some attachment gained later in the game. Once you beat the game, you will gain the jet pack, which makes all of the collectables much easier to get. The sad thing is no characters have any special abilities. Superman apparently forgot how to fly, the flash can now run in slow motion, and aquaman forgot how to swim. Dont bother trying to use any character besides the base characters, you'll be sadly disappointed.

Third, try to get as many super red relics as you can. These essentially act as the red bricks in this game, however, you cannot buy them and it is completely rng on which ones you get, and what makes it even worse is the fact that you can get duplicates. This makes getting the ones you want even harder to get. The two I found most useful are the top hat and super map. The top hat multiplies all studs and building bricks you pick up by 2, which is quite nice. But the super map is amazing, it essentially acts as a brick detector, cutting down the amount of time your looking at the small mini map in the top corner tremendously. You can equip one hat and one item at a time.

Forth, I ran into the issue of getting all bricks and completing all quests on all worlds, but I was stuck at 455/475 bricks. What I found is that there are 20 buildable quests in the home world (the one with the really long name that served as a tutorial). You get the buildable quests for completing main and side quests in the other worlds. They have a small purple brick by them in the super builder menu in the home world. They essentially add a quest by a character that are pretty much the exact same as those you encountered throughout the game (beat up these bad guys, build this item, be this character, etc).

Lastly, try to break as many crates and grab as many alien invader hearts. They give you a large amount of studs (chests are about 15k, hearts are about 50-60k). These are large boosts in studs so you can buy relics from the shops. Additionally, there is one brick for sale in the shop in every world (except for Goldopolis which is unlocked st 400 bricks, it doesnt have a shop) so if you happen to be at 49/50 bricks, check the shop for the last one. Hopefully these tips helped out a bit!

The Super Staff (one hit kill) is also useful for speeding up fights. You still need to flip Soft Bellies and it seems to have trouble killing Chargers.

The Super Helmet and Super Magnet are useful for farming chests, especially on the Goldtropolis world. Just run into the chest, wait a moment, and you'll absorb all contents.

I’m trying to get the last purple brick in Syspocalypstar. I built Benny’s Mission Control HQ, and he wants me to take a photo of an alien (looks like dog face, red and yellow clothes). I saw one once, during a fight with aliens to finish another quest, but I haven’t seen one since. How can I get them to spawn? I tried building all the alien and space super builds, no luck.

This game doesn't feel like a LEGO game, but more like LEGO Worlds DLC :(

Thanks for the clarification of what '100%' means, I was fretting over having potentially missed a scanable object

I'm now a little worried because a Quest Reward blue capsule (potentially a build with a brick attached to it) flew off into space, haha

Hopefully the game can reward it as a random blue capsule drop though

I'm keeping the Gold Relics until I've done everything else, as the always give you something you haven't collected so (fingers crossed) I'll get it then if I don't before that

I had trouble with that too. I eventually saw him standing on top of Mission Control. Maybe he was there all along. Though by the time I got over to the building, he was wandering around on the ground.

So my guess is that he spawns with Mission Control. But I'm not sure why we both didn't readily see him. Like you, I also built the other two builds from the Asteroid Field. Maybe he came from one of those. I can only really suggest wandering around and hope he shows up. Sorry I can't be more definitive.

Here's a list of all the red Super items. In my opinion, these are the useful ones (some mentioned in the solution):
Top Hat - 2x studs and bricks (wear this almost all the time)
Builder's Hat - build for free (useful for the Super Builds on Syspocalypstar)
Jetpack - same as the jet wings, except you have infinite fuel
Map - as described above, indicates Master Piece locations and puts chests on the map

You can beat the RNG by save scumming. That's a bit complicated to do on Xbox One, but can be accomplished by playing offline. If things go bad, delete the local save and resync down from the cloud. If things go well, go back online to upload the save to the cloud. From what I've experienced, quitting the game from the Dashboard will force a cloud upload.

I suggest buying only Green Relics. They give 3 items, while Purple and Blue only give one. Green only costs 25K, while Purple and Blue are 50K and 75K. The Purple and Blue are supposed to be better, since they give Characters or Vehicles / Builds. But duplicate items give 1/5 of a Mega Relic, which gives an item, a character, and a vehicle / build, without duplicates (until you run out of something). Once you have all items, you'll get 3 Mega shards per Green Relic. So you're essentially getting a Mega Relic for about 41K.

Now I'm at the stage where I have all Items, all Vehicles, and all Builds (that can come from Relics). So I also get 2 Mega Shards from a Mega Relic. In essence I get 8 Mega shards for 50K, plus a guaranteed new Character, instead of 50K for the chance of a new Character. That's like paying 31K for a guaranteed Character.

Also buy all the items / characters / vehicles for sale in each shop. Some of them are used in Quests. Some could also be scanned for free, but it's easier to pay for them.

I'm not done yet, but those are my tips so far.

I've lost a green item from a treasure chest. Who thought putting them near the edge of a map and blow the items out is a good idea... Anyway, did i just miss something that might ruin 100% for me?

^^ No, you'll be OK. The contents of the relics is random and will repeat. Once you unlock the last world, Goldtropolis, you can farm tons of Mega-Relics. The Mega-Relics don't repeat until you have everything available in the Green, Blue, and Purple relics.

The Red Super Relics are the only real annoyance, since they can keep repeating, unlike the Gold Mega-Relics. It takes a lot of patience to unlock all the Super Items. But even with these, you can never miss out. You'll get everything eventually, with enough patience.

I have a problem with the relics unlocking, I have 95 mega-relics but when I try to unlock them the game freezes. And I cannot find anymore quest givers on syspocalypstar I have 21/40 bricks left to get, all other worlds are complete. I have tried opening a red relic a green relic then a yellow relic but after 2-3 times of opening them in different orders the game freezes then I have to quit then restart it. 🤬🤬🤬

CDKING, have you built the Super Builds with a purple brick icon? Those give you new quests to get the remaining bricks.

I don't think you'll need to unlock more relics to get 100%. In this game, 100% just means 475/475 bricks. Some of the quests want certain items, but I think they are all for sale in various shops.

You're the second person I've seen say that they get crashes when opening too many relics. I haven't seen a solution though.

MathGuy42 I’ll have a look around all other planets have 25/25 40/40 bricks but it’s only syspocalypstar that is at 21/40 thanks for the hint. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of the characters on syspocalypstar seem to be glitchy in that they spin round & round, or just get stuck. Also every time i move on the planet the game saves so the save icon almost permanently in the bottom left corner .?

The Bat Cave and Cleopatra's Palace are examples of the Super Builds I mean. I think you get the Builds by completing quests on other worlds. There should be 20 in total. Since you just need 19 bricks, I guess you already built one of them and did the related quest.

This last part is total BS. I'm having constant issues like what CDKING is having. I have 8 bricks left and have built all of the purple brick buildings. I go to the shop to open relics and after several of them open, the game freezes. All of the stuff I have left to do is to provide the characters with items I don't have. Total pain in the ass.

Streak Leader, have you purchased all the top row items at all the shops? Different shops sell different items. I think that all necessary quest items are for sale or given to you earlier. I could be wrong though, since I had already exhausted the Mega Relics before finishing up the game.

I made a list of everything for sale at the shops. Some of them are needed for quests, especially on Syspocalypstar. Shop Items and Builds

Pretty sure getting 100 items and opening 50 relice does not work if you are in coop. They popped for my son but not me.

Ok the above guide is good but here are some tips that will save you time.
1, relic can only be opened in the shop this is something i couldnt figure out for ages (may have missed it mentioned in the game).
2, when you buy the brick for each shop from each world also buy all the item on the first row this will mean you only have to use the scan feature if the story requires you to.
3, red item relics, red jetpack and red builders hat are the ones you want. the jetpack never runs out of fuel and the builders hat allows you to build ANYTHING without it costing you anything. (this will come in handy when you complete the level Syspocalypstar). These items are random when you open red relics so these are two to look out for.
4, ingore the bottom 3 worlds they are dlc and dont count towards the 100%.
5, The gold relics you unlock will sometimes contain building if that blueprint has a brick in the top left hand corner then you need to build that item on Syspocalypstar and then do the quest related to it (once you built the item a person will appear out the front of the building and talking to them will give you the quest this is where step 2 will help you get this straight away and using the red hat means you can build all the building in one go if you have all the blue prints.
6, If you havent got all the blueprint and you almost finished the game then go to the shop in the middle of Syspocalypstar and just buy lots of relic and keep opening them until you get the building blueprints you need, no need to keep farming boxes at this point.
7, one of the quest on Syspocalypstar is for ab lincolns chair (this is a vehicle not an item).
If you need help please feel free to message me.

If you need items there is a list in the forums that helped me. If you need builds like ufo and coffee shop go to the gold planet because it gives you lots of gold relics. Always use gold relics before purple, green, and blue

if you end up doing Level 2 Syspocalypstar last like I did and CAN NOT FIND the last quest benny gives you of taking a photo of a dog man look on the roof there's a good 90% chance he's just standing up there stopping you from getting the achivement

So I’m at 99.8%. I have one more purple brick to complete it but it’s the spooky house quest. The vampire is supposed to ask me to find him a friend or something. But when I build the spooky house, he doesn’t have a quest icon. He is just standing there. So yeah…100% isn’t possible now because of this.

Completing the game to 100% only requires you to collect the 475 Master Pieces.

You obtain them by completing every story mission, by collecting them in each world, completing side missions in each world and also buying 1 of them in the shop in each world.

Master Pieces are the purple pieces that you can find in each world; they are marked on your mini map from the start and while you can collect most of them in your first playthrough, it’s best to wait until you finish the game because you will unlock the jetpack as well as other objects required to get them all. There are 50 Master Pieces in each one of the story planets/levels, and 25 in each of the side planets/levels. The Syspocalypstar world has 40 Master Pieces to collect and it’s best to leave this world until the end because it doesn’t work the same way as the others.

Don’t forget to visit the shop in each world and buy the Master Piece here. You also want to buy every object at least once as they will be useful later.

You don’t really need videos to collect them all as they’re all marked on the mini map and are very easy to find. You also have to complete every side missions to get Master Pieces as rewards, but you don’t have to go out of your way to complete them and compared to previous LEGO games, they are very easy and straight forward.

The Syspocalypstar level works differently, as it is a giant sandbox and you will have to build certain type of buildings to get all the Master Pieces, and the buildings will be unlocked by completing missions in other worlds and opening relics. After getting the first 20 Master Pieces in this area, you may not find any more of them on your mini-map. To unlock them you need to build certain types of buildings; you’ll know it’s the right one as you will see a little Master Piece icon next to the thumbnail. Build it and a character will appear with a side quest - complete it and you’ll get the Master Piece.

If you still need certain types of characters, buildings, objects etc and you haven’t found them yet, visit the Goldtropolis planet and keep opening chests. The Relics you obtain here are guaranteed to not have any duplicates. You first need 400 Master Pieces to visit this planet.

If you want to follow some videos, you can find a playlist showing all Master Pieces in every level HERE. Credit to Trophygamers.

This achievement is somewhat different than previous LEGO games. To 100% this game, all that is required is to collect all 475 master pieces. Since there are achievements for earning all the master pieces on all the worlds except Syspocalypstar and Goldtropolis, it's relatively easy to track.

To see what your current percentage is, press . When you press then to access the Galaxy Map, navigating to each world will show you how many master pieces you've collected.

  • Systar System (Apocalypseburg, Asteroid Field, Systarian Jungle, Harmony City, Sorting Area, The Ceremony [300])
  • Rex-Plorer System (Classic Bricksburg, Middle Zealand, Old West, Planet Kitty, Planet Sparkle [125])
  • Goldtropolis [10] (you need 400 master pieces to access this world)
  • Syspocalypstar [40]
To earn all the master pieces on a world, you must do a variety of tasks, which include, but are not limited to, fetch quests, races and finding them hidden in the environment. Most are straightforward so it shouldn’t be too difficult. There is also one master piece on each world to purchase at the shop. They cost 50,000 studs.

It would probably be wise to leave Syspocalypstar until you have completed both the six Systar and five Rex-Plorer System worlds. The reason for this is that on Syspocalypstar, to obtain most of the master pieces, it is necessary to build items for NPCs, and you can only do that if you've obtained the Super Builder Page for that request. You need a total of 35 super builds which are all earned by completing each of the other worlds and opening relics. Refer to "City Planner" for more information.

Note: If you've unlocked the red Super Map item, equipping it will reveal the locations of all the master pieces and chests. Also, the red Super Jetpack item is a blessing when searching for pieces as it lets you bypass otherwise tedious paths to collect them. Lastly, the red Super Builder's Hat is useful because when equipped, builds don't cost any brick pickups.

A YouTube playlist is HERE, courtesy of Trophygamers.
