How to unlock the Intergalactic Planetary Scavenger achievement in The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame - Definitive Guide
Second, dont bother trying to complete all the bricks on your first run through. Almost every world I can think of cannot be completed without having some attachment gained later in the game. Once you beat the game, you will gain the jet pack, which makes all of the collectables much easier to get. The sad thing is no characters have any special abilities. Superman apparently forgot how to fly, the flash can now run in slow motion, and aquaman forgot how to swim. Dont bother trying to use any character besides the base characters, you'll be sadly disappointed.
Third, try to get as many super red relics as you can. These essentially act as the red bricks in this game, however, you cannot buy them and it is completely rng on which ones you get, and what makes it even worse is the fact that you can get duplicates. This makes getting the ones you want even harder to get. The two I found most useful are the top hat and super map. The top hat multiplies all studs and building bricks you pick up by 2, which is quite nice. But the super map is amazing, it essentially acts as a brick detector, cutting down the amount of time your looking at the small mini map in the top corner tremendously. You can equip one hat and one item at a time.
Forth, I ran into the issue of getting all bricks and completing all quests on all worlds, but I was stuck at 455/475 bricks. What I found is that there are 20 buildable quests in the home world (the one with the really long name that served as a tutorial). You get the buildable quests for completing main and side quests in the other worlds. They have a small purple brick by them in the super builder menu in the home world. They essentially add a quest by a character that are pretty much the exact same as those you encountered throughout the game (beat up these bad guys, build this item, be this character, etc).
Lastly, try to break as many crates and grab as many alien invader hearts. They give you a large amount of studs (chests are about 15k, hearts are about 50-60k). These are large boosts in studs so you can buy relics from the shops. Additionally, there is one brick for sale in the shop in every world (except for Goldopolis which is unlocked st 400 bricks, it doesnt have a shop) so if you happen to be at 49/50 bricks, check the shop for the last one. Hopefully these tips helped out a bit!
The Super Helmet and Super Magnet are useful for farming chests, especially on the Goldtropolis world. Just run into the chest, wait a moment, and you'll absorb all contents.
Completing the game to 100% only requires you to collect the 475 Master Pieces.
You obtain them by completing every story mission, by collecting them in each world, completing side missions in each world and also buying 1 of them in the shop in each world.
Master Pieces are the purple pieces that you can find in each world; they are marked on your mini map from the start and while you can collect most of them in your first playthrough, it’s best to wait until you finish the game because you will unlock the jetpack as well as other objects required to get them all. There are 50 Master Pieces in each one of the story planets/levels, and 25 in each of the side planets/levels. The Syspocalypstar world has 40 Master Pieces to collect and it’s best to leave this world until the end because it doesn’t work the same way as the others.
Don’t forget to visit the shop in each world and buy the Master Piece here. You also want to buy every object at least once as they will be useful later.
You don’t really need videos to collect them all as they’re all marked on the mini map and are very easy to find. You also have to complete every side missions to get Master Pieces as rewards, but you don’t have to go out of your way to complete them and compared to previous LEGO games, they are very easy and straight forward.
The Syspocalypstar level works differently, as it is a giant sandbox and you will have to build certain type of buildings to get all the Master Pieces, and the buildings will be unlocked by completing missions in other worlds and opening relics. After getting the first 20 Master Pieces in this area, you may not find any more of them on your mini-map. To unlock them you need to build certain types of buildings; you’ll know it’s the right one as you will see a little Master Piece icon next to the thumbnail. Build it and a character will appear with a side quest - complete it and you’ll get the Master Piece.
If you still need certain types of characters, buildings, objects etc and you haven’t found them yet, visit the Goldtropolis planet and keep opening chests. The Relics you obtain here are guaranteed to not have any duplicates. You first need 400 Master Pieces to visit this planet.
If you want to follow some videos, you can find a playlist showing all Master Pieces in every level HERE. Credit to Trophygamers.
To see what your current percentage is, press . When you press then to access the Galaxy Map, navigating to each world will show you how many master pieces you've collected.
- Systar System (Apocalypseburg, Asteroid Field, Systarian Jungle, Harmony City, Sorting Area, The Ceremony [300])
- Rex-Plorer System (Classic Bricksburg, Middle Zealand, Old West, Planet Kitty, Planet Sparkle [125])
- Goldtropolis [10] (you need 400 master pieces to access this world)
- Syspocalypstar [40]
It would probably be wise to leave Syspocalypstar until you have completed both the six Systar and five Rex-Plorer System worlds. The reason for this is that on Syspocalypstar, to obtain most of the master pieces, it is necessary to build items for NPCs, and you can only do that if you've obtained the Super Builder Page for that request. You need a total of 35 super builds which are all earned by completing each of the other worlds and opening relics. Refer to "City Planner" for more information.
Note: If you've unlocked the red Super Map item, equipping it will reveal the locations of all the master pieces and chests. Also, the red Super Jetpack item is a blessing when searching for pieces as it lets you bypass otherwise tedious paths to collect them. Lastly, the red Super Builder's Hat is useful because when equipped, builds don't cost any brick pickups.
