This achievement comes with natural progression in the game as long as you are seeking out relic chests in each level.
You can work toward this one of two ways:
A) Opening Green Item Relics, Red Super Item Relics or Gold Mega-Relics at the shop. Note New Characters and Super Parts don't count toward this.
Or
B) Buying items from the shop directly for about 10k each. Note: repeat purchases of the same item (like an iron shovel) don't add to the progress

Items can be collected when opening Relics in shop, or you can also buy them in shops. So keep collecting and opening relics and you should get this trophy naturally.

Items are obtained by opening relics and by purchasing them. Each different relic color awards you with different item types. Refer to "You can Relics now" for a list.
