How to unlock the Build Things Only You Can Build achievement in The LEGO Movie Videogame - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to collect all 75 Golden Manuals, there are 5 in each of the 15 levels.

Any easy way I simply don't seem to be able to jump high enough to reach them

There are 75 golden manuals that you must collect, 5 per level. Some can be gotten in Story Mode or Free Play while some have to be gotten in Free Play. For their locations please refer to the Golden Manuals/Pants Collectible Guide found here: The LEGO Movie Video Game Golden Manual/Pants Collectible Guide

Once you have collected everything from a level you can save and quit, you do NOT have to play the entire level.

Here are the locations where you can start each level in Free Play:

Bricksburg Construction: Found in Bricksburg - To the left of the construction entrance.
Escape from Bricksburg: Found in Bricksburg - Found at the top of the Police Station to the right of the Construction Yard.
Flatbush Gulch: Found in Bricksburg - To the right of the police station in the alleyway.
Flatbush Rooftops: Found in the Old West - In the center of the level.
Escape from Flatbush: Found in the Old West - In front of the train in the back right, behind the graveyard.
Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in the Old West - In the graveyard on the right side.
Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - Straight down from the portal.
Escape from Cloud Cuckoo Land: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - On the island on the right.
The Depths: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - From the portal, on the first island on the right has a bridge you can go down to a new area, in the new area on the far side.
Infiltrate Octan Tower: Found in Cloud Cuckoo Land - From the portal, on the first island on the right has a bridge you can go down to a new area, to the right.
Put That Thing on the Thing: Found in Octan Tower - After opening the big red and black door, to the left
Broadcast News: Found in Octan Tower - After opening the big red and black door head down the hallway on the right and it is in the next room.
Back From Reality: Found in Bricksburg - In the construction yard with the hole in the ground.
Bricksburg Under Attack: Found in Bricksburg - In the Construction Yard, to the left of the police station in the center of the area.
The Final Showdown: Found in Bricksburg - In the Construction Yard, on the far right, right in front of the target.

Every level contains five golden instruction manuals, for a total of 75. Collect them all to unlock the achievement. Here is a video containing all Golden Manual locations. Please note, this does not pop upon collection of the last manual, you must finish/save and exit the level first.

There are 75 Golden Manuals, 5 in each of the 15 levels. Some can be collected in Story Mode while others can only be collected only in Free Play.

Note: Once you’ve acquired all the collectibles in a level, you can press and ‘Save & Exit’; no need to finish the level.
