How to unlock the A House Divided achievement in The LEGO Movie Videogame - Definitive Guide

Abraham Lincoln unlocks and is playable once you complete Level 7 (Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land). Lady Liberty becomes available for purchase for 150,000 studs once you complete Level 9 (The Depths).

When you are back in a hub world, press and hold Y to bring up the character picker, select the Lego figure+ and purchase Lady Liberty then switch into her. Repeat and switch into Abraham Lincoln.

You can unlock both characters for free by entering the following codes at the 'Extras' menu in the pause screen:
Abraham Lincoln - F3VG47
Lady Liberty - A76DN7

Once unlocked hold cn_Y in any hub world and select the bottom icon to choose any character, then select Abraham Lincoln. Now switch control to another character and hold cn_Y again and select Lady Liberty who was next to Abe.

Achievement unlocked.

Didnt work. I put in the Abe code and nothing happened.

You just completed level 7, hes unlocked through that so perhaps you have him that way?

Abraham Lincoln and Lady Liberty are characters you need to purchase during the game or after completing the story.
Once you have enough studs, purchase both characters.
Go into any map (no need to go in mission).
Select the 2 available character to be played. (Have Abraham Lincoln and Lady Liberty as the 2 characters on screen).
You don't to do anything else, the trophy will pop after few seconds once the 2nd character is selected.

Simply play through the game until you have unlocked and purchased Honest Abe and Lady Liberty. Then select both characters. The earliest this is available is just after Level 9 - The Depths, as that is when you will unlock the second character Lady Liberty.

Lincoln will be given to you after Level 7, ‘Attack On Cloud Cuckoo Land’. Lady Liberty is unlocked after Level 9, ‘The Depths’ but must be purchased. While in a hub or Free Play level, after purchasing Lady Liberty, hold down to access the character wheel. Move to the bottom symbol which brings up the character grid. Select one of the characters. Switch to your second character and repeat this. Select the other character and the achievement is yours.

Buy Lady Liberty (costs 150,000 studs) from the character menu (Hold (Y) and press down on the D-Pad).

Select Abraham Lincoln from the character menu and switch to Lady Liberty to unlock the achievement.

*Note: This was done in Free Play mode.

Abraham Lincoln will be given to you during the story, Lady Liberty you will have to purchase. All you have to do is play as each one, while in the HUB world choose Abraham Lincoln, then switch to Lady Liberty and the trophy is yours. It’s that simple.
