How to unlock the Wear Clothes… Check! achievement in The LEGO Movie Videogame - Definitive Guide

Travel to Cloud Cuckoo Land. From the portal, continue walking straight (you'll go down the stairs in front of you, over a big circular cloud, and up a rainbow bridge) to the room where Emmet gives a speech to the master builders. Walk to the middle of the room, jump on either of the yellow pads, and push B to edit one of the custom characters.

Make one change and you'll get the achievement!

Go to Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Go in the building straight ahead of you.
Stand on a pad and customize.

This can be attained after completing the 7th level: "Attack on Cloud Cuckoo Land".

Turn around and head over the Rainbow Bridge into the Colosseum. Walk over to one of the yellow circle pads and press (B).

Select the first (or any) character and press (A) on the '? option' to randomise the custom character and unlock the achievement / trophy.

*Note: This was done in Story Mode but it can also be done in Free Play mode.

In Cloud Cuckoo Land go straight down from the portal into the dog meeting room. Stand on the gold platform in the middle of the room and hit cn_O. If you really don't care about customizing your character just hit random and POP.

This can be achieved in Cloud Cuckoo Land's hub. Travel to the character customiser (located straight ahead of the start of the hub - inside the meeting hall up the rainbow stairs) and simply edit any part of one character. Save the change by backing out and enjoy your achievement.

I found it quite hard to follow where people were saying to go in Cloud Cuckoo Land so thought a video would make things much easier.

This can be done in Cloud Cuckoo Land, from the portal head straight and go through the center gate over the rainbow bridge. You will enter the customization arena, make any change and the trophy is yours.
