The LEGO Movie Videogame

In each Hub there are 5 Red Bricks that you can unlock, for a total of 20 bricks. While you can get them as you go along, I find the easiest way is to go nuts once you complete the story and have each type of character unlocked. If you have a flying character, you can bypass a lot of these steps and just go straight for the correct area. Superman and Wonder Woman are both really good to keep on hand, as they can also help with other tasks (laser, and lasso). Also note, I mention certain characters throughout this, but you can use any character with the characteristics you're looking for. IE, Emmet can be replaced by a Construction worker, Batman can be replaced by Wonder Woman, etc.

Bricksburg:
1. Collect Guide Studs - 50,000 studs
You will need to MasterBuild on three giant Billboards.
a. In the housing area, break a pink fence and use it to fix the wall. Jump up to the roof, and use MasterBuild to re-arrange the Billboard. Note: This area will be accessed for two other red bricks.
b. Climb the stairs behind the Ice Cream Truck. Use Wyldstyle to climb the wall further up to a second Billboard, use MasterBuild to re-arrange it. Note: The area below this will be accessed for another red brick.
c. Use Vitruvius to knock on a wall near the construction site, and go to the roof. Make your way around the rooftops to find another Billboard beneath you, and use MasterBuild to re-arrange it, and the Red Brick will appear. Note: This area will be accessed for another red brick.

2. Studs x2 - 250,000 studs
In the same knockable wall/rooftop area as #1c above, there are two cranes. The one on the top roof is ready to use, the one on the lower roof needs to be repaired. Use Emmet to Repair it and create an object near the fountain. Move the object into place, and the Red Brick will appear.

3. Pants Detector - 200,000 studs
In the lower, residential section of town, there is a garden in the center. Under a tree is a MasterBuild spot. Use it to re-arrange the two stands and the archway across the garden to make a watering-can car and the Red Brick.

4. Studs x10 - 5,000,000 studs
Find Mrs. Scratchen-Post, buy her, and then go on her quest to find her five missing cats. Each time you find one, bring them back to her and they'll go into a cat-door behind her.
a. A little bit down the street from her, there's a red bench that you can destroy and build a hook. Use Batman to pull down the hook and the cat will follow you back to Mrs. Scratchen-Post.
b. Find the fence/wall that you needed to use for #1a. Use Wyldstyle to jump up to the roof, and make your way over to the other side of the fence to the right. Jump down and the cat will follow you back to Mrs. Scratchen-Post.
c. Climb up the stairs behind the Ice Cream Truck, where you found the wall for #1b. Go to the left, and use Benny to open the computer. The cat will follow you back to Mrs. Scratchen-Post.
d. In front of the Police Station is a set of Rainbow bricks. Use it to create a catapult, and it will send you to a roof near the construction zone. Hit the target over the porta-potty, and the cat will come out. Alternatively, while you are on the roof for #1c, you can cheat a bit and use Vitruvius' staff to hit the target from the other roof. The cat will follow you back to Mrs. Scratchen-Post.
e. Use Lord Business on the platform right outside the Construction Zone to become taller. Then go to the right of the Ice Cream Truck building, and flip the switch behind a tree. This opens the building, and the cat will be inside. Go in, and it will follow you back to Mrs. Scratchen-Post. Note: This area is accessed for another red brick.

5. Fast Repair - 200,000 studs
You will need to collect the three Instruction pages, and then use the Build Pad.
a. In the construction site, use Emmet's drill in the corner.
b. On the same rooftop as #1a, go onto the awning and have Vitruvius put his staff into the wall. As Wyldstyle, jump over to the balcony.
c. In the building you opened for #4e

The Old West:
1. Fast Build - 100,000 studs
Near the wild horse, there is a building on fire. Use the Blaze Firefighter to put out the flames.

2. Fast Drill - 100,000 studs
You will need to knock 5 birds off their perches.
a. Destroy the Rainbow blocks to the left of the entrance and create a Butterfly.
b. Climb to the second floor of the building right behind #2a, and build a steampipe. Note: This area will be accessed for another red brick.
c. Climb to the roof of the bank with Wyldstyle, then use Emmet to drill the wall.
d. Climb to the roof of the sheriff's building, and slide down the tightrope. Use Benny for the computer. Note: This area will be accessed for another red brick.
e. There is a silver crate outside the Church. Use MetalBeard to build a switch.

3. Gold Instruction Page Detector - 200,000 studs
Make your way to the roof of the Saloon, this will be one of the first red bricks you'll see without much fuss.

4. Studs x4 - 500,000 studs
At the bank, talk to the guy in front and you'll need to find three gold robbers. When you find them, you need to bring the gold they leave behind back to the banker.
a. Near the roof of the Saloon, use Vitruvius on the knockable wall.
b. Near #2d on the Sheriff's roof, use Batman to open the outhouse.
c. In the second floor from #2b, push the block off and build the fire platform. Use Lady Liberty to light the building on fire.

5. Character Studs - 100,000 studs
You will need to collect the three Instruction pages, and then use the Build Pad.
a. Use Vitruvius to go into the pen with the wild horse.
b. Make your way to the top of the bank, and jump right to the saloon. There's a big structure as soon as you get there. Destroy the structure.
c. Use Superman to open the gold wall to the right of the saloon.

Cloud Cuckoo Land:
1. Attract Studs - 600,000 studs
You will need to open three Unikitty boxes using Emmet's wrench.
a. In the main area, use Batman to knock over the teacup.
b. Use MetalBeard on the silver wall to the left of the main area, and the box will be on the right of the next platform.
c. Use a laser to open the gold wall on the right of the main area, and use Batman to open a door in this next area. Go through the entrance with WyldStyle and you'll find the last one.

2. Fast Boomerangs - 100,000 studs
Use Lady Liberty to light three fireworks on fire.
a. In the main area, use UniKitty to smash and rebuild the rainbow bricks. Climb up to the room and use the fire.
b. In the left area that you opened with #1b, use Unikitty on the rainbow bricks. Use the catapult to reach the next area and use the fire.
c. In the main area, use the spaceship on the right to float over to another platform and use the fire.

3. Fast Secret Knock - 100,000 studs
In the left area that you opened with #1b, use a MasterBuilder to create stairs. Use Wyldstyle to walk the rope and get into the room.

4. Studs x6 - 1,000,000 studs
In the right area that you opened with #1c, you will need to step on the switches to make the panels match the pictures. The panels will continue to rotate until you step off, but if you have it in the correct position when you step off it will lock in place. Do it for all three sets of panels.

5. Red Brick Detector - 200,000 studs
You will need to collect the three Instruction pages, and then use the Build Pad.
a. In the main area, use Vitruvius on a target on the second floor of a tower to the left of the Character Creation entrance. Then use WyldStyle to climb up to the hole.
b. You can find this one in the same room as #3 red brick.
c. You can find this in the same room as the UniKitty box in #1c.

The Octan Tower:
1. Invincibility - 100,000 studs
Go to the second area, and go to the right into the hallway. Fly up to the top floor and use the switch to get to three terminals. Using one of them opens the door to the room with the brick. Note: You will need these terminals for other bricks, I would suggest using all three at once to save you time.

2. Extra Hearts - 100,000 studs
Using Batman break down five images with Grapple hooks
a. In the main area near the portal, break boxes to create the hook.
b. In the main area, go up the stairs and use Emmet to repair the blue box. Use Benny to access the computer. Break the box to create the hook.
c. In this second area, go up to the second floor and it's in the back corner.
d. Go to the next area from there, and across the room is a wall for WyldStyle to use. At the top is a box to push down. Create the hook from the rubble.
e. In the room that the first red brick is found.

3. Fast Hack - 100,000 studs
If you got #1 first, you should be able to go into the main room with Green Lantern to build a platform with the green rubble. Use Lord Business on the platform to get taller, then walk to the other side of the room and hit the red switch. This disables the red lasers on the second floor of this room.

4. Regenerate Hearts - 100,000 studs
You will need to build three dance pads using UniKitty.
a. In the main room, use Superman to blow up the gold bricks near the stairs.
b. In the second room, use Unikitty to smash the rainbow pieces on the wall and re-build them.
c. Using one of the terminals from #1 will bring out the third set of rainbow bricks.

5. Studs x8 - 2,500,000 studs
Using one of the terminals from #1 will open a passage into the studio. Use the big wheel to spin for your winnings. It is random what you'll land on, but once you get the Red Brick icon the wheel will not be accessible anymore.

x10 Brick Glitch Fix!!

in Bricksburg for finding the five cats I can CONFIRM that if your experiencing the x10 brick glitch, where the bench is unbreakable therefore you cant make the grapple hook, there IS another extra cat located in the cafe under the subway. Just use lord business to unlock the doors and the cat is there. I was reading everywhere that you have to start a new game and then I found this solution. So please if you are having issues don't make a new game, try this first.
