The Long Dark (EP)

This achievement is unlocked for completing the final Chapter of Episode 2.

In order to access the lower level of the Dam you must wait for an aurora event. According to the forum sleeping in the vehicle outside the dams gate will trigger the Aurora, rather than you camping for days and days waiting for one to appear.

I recommend taking plenty of bandages and also at least 1 emergency stim preferably 2.
once you use the keypad codes which jeremiah gives you'll be able to access the Elevator and reach the lower level. The elevator will become stuck and you'll need to use a prybar to open the doors, there isi one on the floor of the elevator incase you dont have one.

iMPORTANTtake Flares with you or a Storm Lantern. I recommend flares they last ages and the path you need to follow takes a while due to the junk and wiring. You have to use a ropeTherefore you need to be carrying no more than 30 kilo Take only essential gear, its better to store it now in a place you wont forget than having to dump it in the dam.

Health The Aurora triggers the electric and there are lots of loose wiring, taking plenty of painkillers, bandages, antiseptic. Coffee also helps kep your energy up.

I recommend saving often if you electrocuted you will only survuve once or twice, so save incase you die. Also as the path requires the Aurora to be active I recommend being quite hastyt. I am unsure what will happen if you end up taking too long and day appears, maybe someone can comment as to whether you will be trapped until another Aurora appear?

once you make it through the bottom level of the dama cutscene will play, the episode will end and the achievement will unlock.

This game will eventually have 5 episodes according to the developers anyone who has alredy bought the game will have access to those episodes once they are released. this is why I recommend storing your equipment rather than dumping it, just incase we can return once the episode is finished.
