How to unlock the Wrapped in Furs achievement in The Long Dark - Definitive Guide

You need 2 bear hides, 4 wolf hides, 4 deer hides, 4 rabbit hides, and a whole bunch of gut for this. Quick tip: the plane at the summit can have hides on board, so you may want to do that first.

There is a bearskin bedroll in the Pensive Lookout in Bleak Inlet. Use the Ravine entrance to reach it. That way you don't need bears.

Beyond that it's just a question of taking the materials to a work bench, making them, putting them on, and sleeping in the bag.

The bearskin bedroll is not a guaranteed spawn, you also need tools and lots of time to craft

Drat. It used to spawn for me every time. Guess they patched it.

This is more of a mid-late game achievement.
You need to sleep in a bearskin roll with the listed clothing in the achievement description.

You need in total:
5x Cloth
16x Cured gut
4x Cured Wolf pelt
2x Cured Bear hide*
2x Cured Deer hide
4x Cured Rabbit hide

It will take a total of 60 in game hours to craft all the items using a hunting knife and sewing kit respectively


*it is possible to find a Bearskin roll on any difficulty aside from interloper, requiring less total materials.

For this trophy you need to craft the items listed, then wear and use them. Once all materials are gathered you need to craft the final product at a work bench for X hours, the time is depending on your mending skill and what you're trying to make

Rabbitskin mitts: 4 cured rabbit pelts & 2 cured guts.
You need to kill 4 rabbits for this, either shooting them, snaring them or by throwing a stone and strangling them.

Deerskin boots: 2 cured deer hides & 4 cured guts.
You need to harvest 2 deers for this, either kill them by shooting them or harvest a dead deer.

Wolfskin coat: 2 cured wolf pelts & 4 cured guts.
You need to harvest 2 wolfs for this, You will have to kill them by shooting them. A bow is more effective but you need to be closer, if you fight off a wolf after he attacked you follow it as it's likely going to bleed to death.

Bear skin bedroll: 2 cured black bear hides, 5 cloth & 6 cured guts.
You need to harvest 2 wolves for this. You will have to kill them by shooting them. A bow is more effective due to its bleed effect. bears are strong and a riffle is not very effective also he will run away after being hit and he's fast. The best way to kill a bear is to find it's cave, crawl to him when he sleeps and shoot him in the head with an arrow for one shot kill.

The bear is easy to kill on the Taiga Falls Bridge in Milton and there are plenty of cars to hide in. Requires 1 shot from a bow/gun/revolver and wait/waste 4 hours of game time.
