How to unlock the River Hobbit achievement in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum - Definitive Guide

The achievement description is a little bit misleading. You have to swim underwater for 2000 meters. Easily done in Chapter 7 "Good as Fish"

Why the thumbs down? Is it an inaccurate solution? I has assumed from the achievement description that it had to do with diving a certain number of times, but that didn't do it. I'll have to do meters and see how long it takes to grind out.

So it's 2000m of depth or just 2000m of underwater swimming? Big difference.

Olly… he never said anything about height. If you are going to criticize, learn to read. He’s talking about the holding B for 2000 meters. WHICH DOES WORK.

Dive means swim underwater. Not jumping from height into water. Took about 10-15 minutes grinding it

This is a cumulative achievement. It requires you to swim underwater for a cumulative total of 2000m. If you've played the game, you'll know how ridiculous this is, as there are barely any points in the game where you need to dive for any reason. You'll therefore need to grind this out assuredly. I found it easiest to load up the Queen's Waterfalls in Chapter 7 (third section) and just hop in the big nearby pond, dive, swim from one end to the other, surface, then repeat. It took easily 10-15 minutes for me of just swimming back and forth underwater to unlock this achievement, so be prepared for some mindless grinding.

Halls of Gronda: Where we get the trophy "long long fall" at the very beginning, I swam for about 26 minutes underwater, surfacing to breathe (just in case, it's better to swim).
