How to unlock the The Breeder achievement in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum - Definitive Guide
Story-related; cannot be missed.
This is the first chapter with a puzzle, and one that can be a little unclear at first - the egg hatching puzzle. It's actually quite simple: there are a number of drawings you can inspect around the area. Aside from the one on the ground by where you enter, which is a dummy one, any of the rest works. You only need one, not all of them. For example, there's a drawing between the oven and the nest area, on the back of a wall. I don't believe they're randomized. That one should show you the drawing for the white egg. It'll show the color of the egg (white in this case), the number of logs to add (four in this case), and the number of times to push the bellows, indicated by the number of lines at the end (two in this case). So, grab the blue egg, put it in the liquid holder, use the liquid on it (white liquid in this case), grab it and put it in the nest, then add the logs to the oven (four here), push the bellows (twice in this case), and then pull the lever at the nest to hatch it.
