How to unlock the We Hates Them! achievement in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum - Definitive Guide

Hello Fellow Gamers,

First guide I've summited, so please provide any positive and negative feedback you have.

You need to let the elf cook (Chapter 9) and the elf guard (Chapter 10) die. Then you need to get the orc to kill the riddle master (later in Chapter 10). In order to kill the riddle master, you need to convince Gollum to do it with Sméagol.

When you’re approached with the question to kill the orc or betray the Elf, you will choose Sméagol.

Once you’re Sméagol trying to convince Gollum, you’ll receive choices of examples to use in your argument.

The sequence you select the answers in changes the results of the answers (which makes no logical sense), so it’s important to answer in the correct order:

Grashneg or the Witch (Witch credit to Necrophage33)
Elf Cook
Frail Man
Bird

It doesn’t appear to matter if you actually helped any of those listed above. That’s the only working order I’ve discovered. If Gollum throws a rock, you've answered it correctly.

I've confirmed this with ninja fartdust and Necrophage33. A huge shoutout and thank you to both of them. Please see video below for additional help (Note: the first answer was cut off a little, but you can see I chose Grashneg).

To help confirm, I did use this method and it did indeed work, I hope this method helps others as well.

I don't know if it matters, but I wasn't able to save the witch on either my Smeagol or Gollum runs, so I was only able to get this when I followed the Smeagol path of choices throughout the game

Doing a full Gollum run I don't think this is possible, tried the final choice multiple times and no combo seems to work, so do this after finishing your Smeagol run from Ch9 onwards.

Chapter 9 and Chapter 10

There are three elves that you can save or let die between Chapters 9 and 10. You need to save them all to unlock Elf-Friend (30G), or have them all die for this achievement. Note that the final elf in Chapter 10 requires either a Gollum decision to let live, or a Smeagol decision to have him die (I know that seems counterintuitive, but that's how it is).

Chapter 9
At the end of Chapter 9, after climbing the oak tree and then orcs attack the elves, you'll be tasked with escaping. As you get to the bottom of the ladder to escape up into the trees, there will be an interaction point to Look to the left. You'll see the cook you arrived with hiding from an orc. To let her die, simply ignore her, climb up the ladder, and when you reach the tree branch you'll get a cutscene showing her getting shot and killed. To save her, simply head over to the orc nearest her, stealth kill him from behind (he never turns around, so he's very easy to kill), and that's it. The other orc just past that one doesn't matter, surprisingly. When you climb up the ladder to the tree, you'll get a cutscene of the elf fleeing successfully.

Chapter 10
The first elf you have an option with takes place relatively early on in this chapter, where you'll come across the Beastmaster orc from early in the game in a standoff with an elf. Throw a rock at one to distract them and they'll die. If you want the elf to live, throw the rock at the Beastmaster, and vice versa.

The second elf in this chapter (and last requirement for this achievement) is story related again, and takes place near the end of the chapter. You'll find the injured elf (no spoilers), and need to decide to either kill the orc to save the elf, or let the orc find the elf and kill him. This is done through a Smeagol/Gollum decision. You'll need to use the Smeagol side if you want to kill the orc, and the Gollum side if you want to save him. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but that's the way it is set up). After making your decision, as long as you either saved or killed the elves above, you'll unlock the associated achievement.

I couldn't do it on the way when I chose Gollum's alter ego. There is a problem with the cook on this way, she left to open the way to the tree with any combination and didn't return to the cart.
I recommend making a save in Chapter 9 before climbing the tree. So that you can roll back and leave everyone alive, we do it on Smeagol's path

Supplement to the hint, it is better to do it on the way of Smeagol, so to speak, to kill in a rat, and it is even better to save the witch (talk to her at the first opportunity -> after completing two tasks (drive animals and collect numbers) upon arrival at the barracks it is worth going to the bald man master of animals, next to him there will be a cage with a spider, a cutscene will occur and you will notice that the spider is sick, after the next day tell the witch about it, only after that tell the master of animals, and as a result Smeagol can one more person, for the dispute Gollum needs 2, the game gives us a choice of three: saved Grashneg, helped the bird, saved the witch.
P.s. perhaps we can also bring in the Fragile Man without handing him over to the cruel woman and his fellow candle maker, but that's a guess.
Pss fragile, at least he will die, and Gollum will count it in his favor.
