Beyond the Tomb of Kings you'll come across a broken staircase called "The Eastern Stairs"
The staircase will require 100 Ihraz Granite and 20 Black Diamonds to repair. This might be another obstacle to furthering the story for you, and it actually put me behind several hours on the PlayStation stack. You can hop worlds to farm Black Diamonds, or you can attempt to mine for them in the Deep Dark mines located in the crevices in the Lower Deeps. (There are dead-ends to paths that have a crevice in the middle of the room. These can be built down into and lead you to mines that have precious gems you can mine using a good enough pickaxe - Quarry Master being a good Masterwork to utilize here)
After repairing the Eastern Stairs, you'll find yourself climbing stairs for a bit, eventually entering the Upper City, continuing along the path laid out before you, you'll find a big room with a troll, and to the right a dirt wall - behind which is Dwarrowdelf.
