How to unlock the Battle-master achievement in The Lord of the Rings War in the North - Definitive Guide
I was at level 16 when I did it with the Ranger:
I did this for the Ranger and it was pretty easy.
Please note that you do not need to completely fill any of the tiers - just unlock them. That may mean that you have to put more than one point in some items to unlock the next tier, however.
In the skill tree
1. One point in Evasion (1st category of skill tree)
2. One point in Ranger Strike (2nd category of skill tree)
- You will need to enough points in Dual Wielding (1st Row, 1st col under Ranger Strike) to unlock Dual Strike and Cleave
- put two points into Dual strike (2nd Row, First Col under Ranger Strike)
- put 1 point in Cleave (2nd Row, 3rd Col under Ranger Strike)
3. One point in Heavy Shot (3rd category of skill tree)
- Two points into Bow Mastery (Row 1, Col 1 under Heavy Shot)
- Two points into stunning shock (Row 2, Col under Heavy Shot)
- 1 point in Volley (Row 3, col 1 under Heavy Shot)
- 1 point in Piercing Shot (Row 3, Col 2 under Heavy Shot)
Edit: You also need to put one point into Assail - 2nd category, 3rd row of the skill tree. Thank you for the comments.

Cheers for the guide, just to confirm - you do need to put a point into Assail as mentioned but you do also need the point in Piercing Shot, I put points in all the other active skills, confirmed the allocation and unpaused and no achievement, it unlocked once I put the point into Piercing Shot.

Thanks for the guide! It worked like a charm. I thought I had to put some points in a few of the Evasion skills, as well. Apparently not.
