If you've been careful to this point in the game you'll also receive "No Argument Here" for defeating her with zero deaths up to this point in the game.




Queen of Quills is another simple battle, very predictable movements with easy to dodge projectiles.

She'll start off by throwing down mushroom spores one one side of the room and then the other, simply run to one side and then the other to avoid being turned into a mushroom. If you do get hit, you'll transform into a defenseless mushroom and you'll need to mash the directional buttons/keys and jump to break out of it before she walks over to you and hits you with her whip. The further you are in the battle, the more shrooms she'll throw to each side and they will get progressively closer together, so pay attention to that.


After dodging the shroom spores a few times, she'll throw down some seeds that grow into plants. She'll start off by throwing a single seed which you'll need to jump and attack and from there, jump up in the air and slash her while she hangs onto the rings mid-air. As the battle continues, she'll throw two seeds and then finally 3 seeds so you'll need to chain your attacks and jumps together to reach her because she'll eventually use the top rings for the second half of the battle.


And finally, once you've knocked her down from the rings, she'll be stunned briefly and vulnerable to several attacks. The key here is to hit her 5-6 times and walk away while she's still stunned. If you elect to keep hitting she will break out of the stun and immediately perform her counter-attack which is a spin move that throws leaves to both sides and you will not have enough time to dodge. In the picture below, you'll notice she's performing the spin move from the middle of the room, which can happen if you trigger her counter-attack by hitting her mid-air using the plants. Where she performs her counter-attack will depends on how many hits you can/decide to get in while she's stunned on the ground. If you don't hit her enough while she's on the ground, she won't perform the spin move and then you'll end up slashing her mid-air and she'll have a chance at performing it from the center of the room like the picture shows.
