Sky Serpent is yet again another relatively simple battle, here are his attack patterns.

The battle starts with the dragon flying around in the air and he will glow just before he dive bombs on your location destroying the portion of cloud you're standing on, so be sure to let him destroy piece by piece starting from the edge of the screen so you have an easier time moving around.


After he destroys a couple of sections of cloud, he'll go to the opposite end of the screen and start shooting fire balls at you nonstop until you make your way over there and hit him. Once you hit him, he'll be stunned and the portions of cloud will be restored. Once he's back to normal, he'll perform generic dive bombs and he'll move on to destroying portions of clouds beneath you shortly after.



As you continue to slash him, he will become enraged (flashing red) like all the other bosses and this will cause him to charge at you much more quickly. As he's flying/dive bombing towards you, slash his head to stop him in his tracks. **Note**: He will occasionally go offscreen and dive bomb vertically from the top of the screen and take a piece of cloud with him as well.



Once you've beaten him up a bit more, he will take out the majority of the clouds left on screen, leaving you no choice but to chain jump attacks towards him using the fireballs. Slash him once to stun him and restore the clouds beneath you.

Sky Serpent is the boss at the end of the level Cloud Ruins. It is quite simple once you get hang of it but it is also easy to take damage or even die if you get greedy. Below is a video guide, credit to Neoseeker.
