The Messenger

This is the last story related achievement. You fight the Demon General, Punch Out style. If you played Punch Out before, this should be easy. I usually dodge then hit to the head. After a little while, the bar on the bottom of the screen will fill up after a lot of hits, and then you can press cn_B to kill him quickly. You don't have to be perfect, just win 3 rounds. The last round can be a bit tricky, but I found pressing down and occasional body jabs to work.

This is the final boss fight of the DLC.

It’s Punch Out, if you’re familiar with that game. If you’re not then you’ll probably die on your first attempt. Mashing X might win you a round eventually but not the whole fight.

Throwing the first attempt is your best course of action as one of the blue robe guys will offer you a proper tutorial afterwards. I’m going to assume you did that already.

Best advice is NOT to button mash. Instead wait for the boss to start a move, then react accordingly. The tutorial will show you how to low guard, high guard, dodge and duck. My advice is to stick to dodging left and right, and not to worry about anything else.

eg. If the boss moves left, you dodge right by pushing right on the stick/d-pad (and vice versa). If the boss stays central, just pick a side. After the boss has gone in for his swing immediately counterpunch with X. This will stun the boss.

Once the boss is stunned alternate hitting X then A repeatedly until he’s no longer staggered. The number of stars above his head informs you as to how many free hits you’re going to get. Once he’s back in the fight go passive and wait for him to move, repeating the dodge and counterpunch method above.

If you charge up your super bar at the bottom of the screen, press B to insta-win the round.

I won the fight 3-1 using this method.
