How to unlock the Undead Agent achievement in The Mummy Demastered - Definitive Guide

There is 3 save slots and the ability to copy saves to other slots. Keep a backup file of your most recent progress in a separate save. Every time you save quit and backup your save for safety.

If you die the game quickly saves your death so you'll need to exit and recover your backup before continuing.

If all 3 slots are used Copy is disabled so you'll need to Erase a file before you can back up again.

So make sure you save often.

As annoying as it is to constantly quit and backup the save you may find yourself not backing up time to time.

If you die and you feel your backup isn't up to date enough (i.e. you saved over an hour ago without any backups) you have one emergency safety net.

Hit the guide button

Go to manage game

Go to save data

Delete your save (this should also cause the game to close which is fine)

WHEN YOU ARE PROMPTED TO DELETE EVERYTHING OR LOCAL ONLY MAKE SURE YOU DO DELETE FROM CONSOLE ONLY OR YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING

And then start the game back up. The game will sync with your cloud and you will recover the last save room save as the cloud didn't have enough time to grab your death save.

This method is only useful if you forgot to create a backup of your most recent save. Just extra steps that aren't needed but plan B does exist.

You can simply use the 3 save slots to your advantage.Once you're dead, quit the game, erase your save and copy your previous one.
Also you can quit the game once you're close to death.

Really easy achievement.

Yes, but you need to remind yourself to quick and make a back up for the second slot.

This is an emergency plan to help prevent data loss.

I should probably flip my info though as I have the 3 slots listed at the bottom.

I'll reword this guide in a bit because yes, I know you can use the 3 slots to your advantage.

Your original post will work too... I'd maybe put it second though... or break it up into 2 sections. Right now it's a big daunting wall of text that might put a lot of people off.

There was an update today. I wonder if it changed anything relating to this achievement.

Regarding deleting the cloud save game, you should change your guide, what you REALLY DON'T WANNA DO is quit the game. This forces the console to upload the save to the cloud.

So, if you die and wanna recover your save from the cloud, go to the dashboard, but DO NOT CLOSE THE GAME. Go to manage save and delete it from there. You will have to delete the save twice for it to actually delete and this will close the game for you.

Ah, that's probably why it was hit or miss if the cloud caught the save or not.

Thanks

Lucky me, it worked! I wonder if something was cached regarding my one death...?

That's odd it wouldn't pop with a 0 death result screen. I guess it's possible that something could have been cached I just find it odd that it even happened.

Glad you got it.

One death cached...I think I know why the Achievement for no kills in Dishonor didn't pop, because I replayed a level that I didn't realize someone died in. I dislike Achievements for NOT doing something. For normal Achievements, it's something that you work at getting. But if it's a negative-type Achievement, you only get one shot in the whole game! It's not like you can work harder to accomplish the goal at that point.

You do not need to be quick at all. Every time you have a save point... Save, then quit to main menu. Make a copy... Play on the copy. This way, no matter when you die, you can quit to main menu, delete the save with a death (it tells you) and re-copy from your clean save.

There aren't that many save points in the game that you have to do it too often.

EDIT: I assume that was a typo and meant to say "quit" instead of "quick", but it's really not that much hassle. It's a lot easier than dying and then trying to retrieve your old stuff from your zombie self (not to mention voiding this achievement).

Not sure if it's just this one achievement that's not unlocking for me, but it didn't pop after the credits. The other two achievements for items and map did pop. I did save scum once in my play through... Results screen definitely shows 0 deaths. Perhaps there was something to that patch someone mentioned...

I'm going to clear my local save, hard restart the console and give it one more go. Then I'll report back, hopefully with good news!

MISSABLE

For this trophy you must beat the game without dying at all during your playthrough. This includes the very first part of the game when you are exploring the cave, as if you die during this part, it counts as a death even though it will let you advance on to the next section of the game.

The problem you will encounter with this is that the game saves quickly after you die so it's almost impossible to quit out before it saves the death to your game. To make this easier, just make sure to stop at save spots frequently and quit out of the game to make a backup save so that if you die, you can just download that save back and restart from there to try again. The other way is to just quit the game if you know you are going to die or are extremely close to it and don't think you're going to make it.

*MISSABLE*

Note: This achievement won't unlock until AFTER the credits finish rolling.

Despite the difficulty this achievement implies, there's actually a pretty simple workaround to ensure you don't miss this achievement. If you've played Ori and the Blind Forest, it's the exact same concept: this game lets you copy your save file into open save slots. So, all you need to do is keep your save "backed up" by copying it to a separate save slot. That way, if you do die, you can copy your deathless save back over the save where you died, and resume to still get your achievement.

Specifically, each time you save your save in a save room, pause and quit out to the main menu. When you open up your save files, go down to Copy and press button-a.png, then go to your current deathless save file (the bottom of the save file will show how many deaths you have) and press button-a.png on it, and then go to the save slot next to it and press button-a.png to copy your save. Every time you save in game, quit out and do that, and you'll constantly have a current backup of your save. It might sound tedious, but you won't be saving that often (I had 50 saves per the credits screen when I finished), and it's worth it. This game isn't very difficult, but early on you're more likely to die than later when you have significantly more upgrades and health.

If you do die, quit out to the main menu, but this time copy your backup save (the one that still shows zero deaths) and paste it over top of your save with a death. That allows you to resume playing without missing this achievement.

The trophy is not difficult, because the game is very simple and short, I advise you to do this trophy right away. Every time you record a point with 0 deaths, immediately go to the menu and copy the save to the next slot.
