How to unlock the Undead Agent achievement in The Mummy Demastered - Definitive Guide
If you die the game quickly saves your death so you'll need to exit and recover your backup before continuing.
If all 3 slots are used Copy is disabled so you'll need to Erase a file before you can back up again.
So make sure you save often.
As annoying as it is to constantly quit and backup the save you may find yourself not backing up time to time.
If you die and you feel your backup isn't up to date enough (i.e. you saved over an hour ago without any backups) you have one emergency safety net.
Hit the guide button
Go to manage game
Go to save data
Delete your save (this should also cause the game to close which is fine)
WHEN YOU ARE PROMPTED TO DELETE EVERYTHING OR LOCAL ONLY MAKE SURE YOU DO DELETE FROM CONSOLE ONLY OR YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING
And then start the game back up. The game will sync with your cloud and you will recover the last save room save as the cloud didn't have enough time to grab your death save.
This method is only useful if you forgot to create a backup of your most recent save. Just extra steps that aren't needed but plan B does exist.
Also you can quit the game once you're close to death.
Really easy achievement.
This is an emergency plan to help prevent data loss.
I should probably flip my info though as I have the 3 slots listed at the bottom.
MISSABLE
For this trophy you must beat the game without dying at all during your playthrough. This includes the very first part of the game when you are exploring the cave, as if you die during this part, it counts as a death even though it will let you advance on to the next section of the game.
The problem you will encounter with this is that the game saves quickly after you die so it's almost impossible to quit out before it saves the death to your game. To make this easier, just make sure to stop at save spots frequently and quit out of the game to make a backup save so that if you die, you can just download that save back and restart from there to try again. The other way is to just quit the game if you know you are going to die or are extremely close to it and don't think you're going to make it.
Note: This achievement won't unlock until AFTER the credits finish rolling.
Despite the difficulty this achievement implies, there's actually a pretty simple workaround to ensure you don't miss this achievement. If you've played Ori and the Blind Forest, it's the exact same concept: this game lets you copy your save file into open save slots. So, all you need to do is keep your save "backed up" by copying it to a separate save slot. That way, if you do die, you can copy your deathless save back over the save where you died, and resume to still get your achievement.
Specifically, each time you save your save in a save room, pause and quit out to the main menu. When you open up your save files, go down to Copy and press , then go to your current deathless save file (the bottom of the save file will show how many deaths you have) and press on it, and then go to the save slot next to it and press to copy your save. Every time you save in game, quit out and do that, and you'll constantly have a current backup of your save. It might sound tedious, but you won't be saving that often (I had 50 saves per the credits screen when I finished), and it's worth it. This game isn't very difficult, but early on you're more likely to die than later when you have significantly more upgrades and health.
If you do die, quit out to the main menu, but this time copy your backup save (the one that still shows zero deaths) and paste it over top of your save with a death. That allows you to resume playing without missing this achievement.
