How to unlock the Vanilla Crazy Cake achievement in The Orange Box - Definitive Guide

Once you finish the regular campaign maps of Portal, you will open up 6 advanced maps available for play. The advanced maps are simply six maps you have played before, just some little tweaks to make it harder. Once you finish all 6 maps you will get the achievement.

The below videos will guide you through each advanced map (they are in order 13,14,15,16,17, then 18)

Is it just me, or is that sideways jump in chamer 15 much harder here than in Still Alive.

using the following cheat will really help
shoot portal's anywhere:
Y,A,B,A,B,Y,Y,A Left Right
make a box:
Down,B,A,B,Y,Down,B,A,B,Y
shoot energy ball:
Up,Y,Y,B,B,G,G,R,R,Up
just one catch though:
before you get in the elevator save the game load another game then load the game you saved
the game will not detect that you cheated
have fun!

On the "Shoot Portals Anyhwhere" cheat, you need to hit left then right on the D-Pad to activate the cheat.

I used all these cheats to beat all six maps in like 5 minutes. it never found out i was cheating and the acheivement popped.

i beat the first five maps normally but used cheats on the last one. popped just fine.

Works an absolute treat, i did three of the six advanced maps this way and the cheevo popped up just fine for me. Wish i'd seen this before grinding my way through the first three really, they are pretty hard

Haha I think I just activated a cheat accidently because I could kill the bots with a cube in the 8th testchamber :D But achievement popped :)

i wonder if the cheats still work for PC trying to do the last one legit i keep on dying but i will try the cheats and see if it works

You can cheat for these so here are the cheats that I used:
Create Box - Down, B, A, B, Y, Down, B, A, B, Y
Fire Energy Ball - Up, Y, Y, X, X, A, A, B, B, Up
Place Portal on any surface - Y, A, B, A, B, Y, Y, A, Left, Right
Invincibility - LB, Up, RB, Up, LB, LB, Up, RB, RB, Up

With these cheats and the knowledge of the levels (assuming you beat the game) you will have no problem!!!

the game does not detect the cheats, all achievements are obtainable with cheats on
