How to unlock the Mad Scientist achievement in The Outer Worlds - Definitive Guide

The trick with this one instead of trying to switch between all 4 weapons equip two on your companions. I did one with the melee weapon, and another with the shrink gun, and kept two for myself. Find a semi tanky mob like a mantiqueen or soldier, and attack. With a little practice you can get it very easily.

If you're using the Prismatic Hammer do you need to do the charged attack or does it count even if you use a regular attack?

Edit: Just got it, regular attacks work if you're using the hammer.

I gave my hammer to one of my companions instead making it easier to use range weapons instead of trying to be point blank trying to score a hit.

Worked for me after a few attempts, melee and shrink ray on the companions and setting them to passive so they only attacked when I wanted them to was what worked.

Works a treat... I changed my character to follow close and only use melee weapons, that way they could both hit whilst I shot only having 2 science weapons equipped to make switching easier. Cheevo popped first time.

Does the enemy have to have all four status effects at the moment it dies or just at any point before it dies?

By Uh iCanExplain on 09 Nov 2019 00:24
Has to have all four effects at the moment of being killed. That's why it's easier to have one of your companions using the shrink ray for example.

Here's advice for this achievement give your self the "prismatic hammer" and "gloop gun" and give range teammate the "shrink" gun and put them on range only and other teammate gets "Mandibular Rerranger" and put the melee only and passive mode only. Do this on big enemies and you should get lucky and unlock the achievement.

Took me a fair few tries but gt it eventually.

Found a Mantiqueen. Put Shrink Ray and Mind Contrl on team mates. Literally did one hit with Prismatic Hammer then one with Mandibular Rearranger over and over and it popped quite quickly. Did many attempts with Gloop Gun and MR and couldn't get it to line up.

Getting your medical skill to 60 adds a 50% increase to the duration of debuffs you apply to enemies. It is much less luck based with this passive abillity.

The method i used to get it first attempt was giving my companions the shrink ray and mind control guns. I started with the gloop gun then finished the mantiqueen off with the hammer. ( I did this on story difficulty)

I was having trouble with this and found out that TTD really helps with this achievement. If you haven't bought any of the perks for TTD, I would suggest you do so. Also having a high Science skill extends the duration affect.

This may be obvious to some people, but it also helps to also use the time dilation ability while you switch between the gloop gun then finish off with the mind ray.

I tried Ellie with the hammer settings, close, Melee, Aggresive and Max with the shrink ray same settings. Called them to me after the attack started on a Mega creature NW the Cascadia landing pad as the tend to do whatever they want if you tell them to attack. I used the goop gun and switched to mind ray until the goop effects were over until death. Pop

There is 5 science weapons, you only need 4 of them. Them being the Prismatic Hammer, Gloop Gun, Shrink Ray, Mandibular Rearranger and Mind Control Ray. If you need help finding these weapons, James Billcliffe has a good guide that you can find here.

https://www.vg247.com/2019/10/24/the-outer-worlds-science-we...

You can either give a weapon to each of your partners, or try and do all four weapons by yourself, which I wasn't able to do. I went with the giving weapons to each partner method. Gloop Gun to one, Shrink Ray to the other and used the Mind Control and Rearranger. Also, TTD is a must. When the enemy gets glooped into the air, slow down time, hit them with the rearranger and then use mind control, if luck is on your side, your other partner will use the shrink ray.

PS- I just had the 2 science weapons equipped and nothing else, it is quicker and easier to switch weapons that way.

Hope this helps!

This method worked flawlessly, thank you very much. I needed to have a third weapon equipped to actually kill the monster, even with 100 Science, but that was simple enough.

For anyone needing a quick target for this, I traveled to the Gunship Crash Site fast travel marker on Monarch. Just north of there will be a Mega Raptidon (as well as some other beefy targets if you can't get it on the Rapt).

I had issues with getting this with the help of companions. What I did was use all 4 weapons myself. I did this on a primal late game and was finally able to do it this way. I was solo at the time so I didn't have to worry about it getting killed before I could hit it will all 4 weapons.

Does the enemy has to die with all status in effect or should have had once during battle? I tried many times but the effects won’t stay long enough to land killing blow

In this video guide I will show you how to kill an enemy under the effects of 4 science weapons. First I will show you where to find all 5 just so you can have them all.

Shrink Ray - 00:04 - 00:31
Prismatic Hammer - 00:32 - 01:30
Mandibular Rearranger - 01:32 - 01:58
Mind Control Ray - 02:01 - 03:20
Gloop Gun - 03:22 - 04:14

Now that you have the weapons, it's time for the setup.
First your going to want to go into your partners behavior page and set the distance to far, the weapon to ranged, and mode to aggressive. This way they will shoot on site and not melee. Because the way I did this was gave them the ranged weapons while I used the melee weapons.

The area I tried this as in on Monarch right next to the Casscadia areas. Once you get here make a manual save. There will be a nice path along the cliff side with a lot of enemies. Stick to the road and follow it up until you see an enemy on the left. If you stick to the road it will be directly in your path.

The easiest way for this to work is when you see the enemy, make sure you can give your companions the attack command on it. So make sure they are close by before attempting. Once you are ready press UP on the D-Pad to give the order. Once they start shooting go up and hit the creature with the first melee weapon a few times, then switch to the other one and hit it a few more times. If it don't pop reload your manual save and keep trying until it does. You will know if it is working or not by looking above the enemies health bar, you should see symbols there. These indicate that the enemy is currently getting affected by the effects of your weapons. Once you see 4 symbols, the achievement will pop. If you are having troubles you can always use the 5th weapon to make it easier.

I'm baffled by this one, I've done two buddies, each with a weapon, one buddy with one weapon & me with the other three, tried increasing difficulty to hard, and I know I've killed enemies with the four symbols above their head and still no achievement.

I don't have the prismatic hammer, as I (stupidly) sold it early in this playthrough, but gloop gun, mandibular, shrink ray, and mind control. I don't get what I'm doing wrong.

Finally got it. I ended up doing a few things that I think helped:

- gave 1 companion the gloop gun, and the other companion the mind control ray (Nyoka & Parvati, though I don't think it matters who)
- I kept the rearranger & the shrink ray
- tinkered the rearranger & shrink ray as much as I could afford (got rearranger to lvl 21 66 dmg/133DPS, shrink ray to lvl 19 38 damage/76DPS)
- I did *not* tinker the gloop gun or mind control ray (since those were used by my party members)
- re-spec'd and put 100 into science, 100 into 1-handed melee, 100 into handguns, and the remaining points into heavy weapons.
- Tier 1 perks, I did: Toughness (50% health), Slow the World (25% TTD), Cheetah (+20% sprint speed), Quick & the Dead (+50% TTD recharge), Resilient (+5 armour),
- Tier 2 perks, I did: The Reaper (+25% TTD per kill), Weird Science (+50% science damage), Speed Demon (+25% move speed in TTD), Scanner (+20% bonus to weakspot damage), Harvester (+15% health restored per kill)
- Tier 3 perks I did: Wild Science (+50% Science damage), Steady Hand (sway & accuracy bonus), Armor Master (extra armour), Tactical Master (70% TTD move speed), Revenge (+20% damage), Thick Skin (minus to area of effect damage taken), Tit for Tat (+15 Melee damage as health)
- set my party members as you mentioned in the video (range, aggressive, far)
- set up my weapons as rearranger, shrink ray, and my OP LMG

I then went to Monarch, and found a Mega Raptidon. Selected the rearranger, then ordered them to attack, then ran in and swung a few times with the rearranger, then switched to the shrink ray, fired a few times, then switched to the LMG & finished him off while in TTD. Achievement then popped.

I think the key is to respec to prioritize maxing your science, and skills for the wepaons you're using (in my case 1-handed melee & handgun). Something that's not entirely clear from your guide is that it's not get an enemy with 4 science effects, but rather *kill* an enemy while it's under 4 different science effects (hence why I finished off with my LMG).

Following the "Weapons From the Void" quests and buying location datapads from certain people will get you to the locations of the Science Weapons, however you can just go to their location if you want without dealing with any quest direction.

- First you must acquire at least 4 of the 5 Science Weapons (shown in the video):

Once you have at least 4 of them follow this set-up:
- Hold the Hammer & Rearranger in two of YOUR weapon slots, and leave the other 2 empty (makes switching b/w them easier)

- Go to the menu and choose your 2 Companions to use range attacks opposed to melee and make them aggressive so they attack what you attack

- Give each one of your companions one of the Ranged Science Weapons

NOW - find a chonky enemy (ex. Mantiqueen on Monarch) that can take some heat, run up and hit them with each of the melee Science Weapons while your companions hit them with the other 2, causing you to get this achievement!

- You could always find the 5th to give yourself an even better chance but it is not necessary

SCIENCE WEAPON LOCATIONS:

-- Prismatic Hammer (02:17) ------

- Groundbreaker | Just past the security room on the left you will find a worker's sleeping area. If you climb boxes you can get into a sneaky hole in the room that will lead to a bigger room. There will be a locked door on your right (Key Card on enemy in the room), behind it is the hammer

-- Shrink Ray (03:13) ------

- Phineas' Lab | Very easy, just in a box inside his lab. Travel there and pick it up.

-- Mandibular Rearranger (04:01) ------

- Scylla | On the East side of Scylla near the Abandoned Mining Outpost you will find this weapon in a nearby building

-- Mind Control Ray (04:46) ------

- Rizzo Secret Lab, Cascadia | It's near the terminal you access during the "Space-Crime Continuum" side mission for Lilya Hagen of SubLight.

To the left of the terminal you will see a platform you can jump to, jump up the path of platforms to find the box containing the Ray.

-- Gloop Gun (06:28) ------

- UDL Lab, Monarch | Part of the "Errors Unseen" side quest & "Radio Free Monarch" main quest.

There is a Terminal in the UDL Lab (SE of Stellar Bay) that you can hack or answer security questions to unlock the gun.

You may get stuck on the other side of the lab where it is locked...go to the other side to get to the lab. Once there go up stairs to get the Key Card to be able to use the Terminal below. You can hack it (Skill 55) or Answer 3 Questions to unlock the Gloop Gun.

The answers are:
"Protect the Chairman",
"Berate him relentlessly to defend the Chairman’s honor",
"Arrest your spouse and admit your children to a reeducation program"

As soon as you can travel in your ship, go to Phineas' lab for the Shrink Ray (Ranged Weapon). It is on a table to the right of where you interact with Phineas. Give it to Companion 1.

Groundbreaker. Enter room with storage boxes on left immediately past check-in/security. There are two doors, enter the unlocked door which contains beds. Jump on crates to your left to get on top of the sleeping compartments and go through opening at the end. Defeat enemies, open door next to the workbench, and take Prismatic Hammer. Equip in Slot 2.

Scylla. Defeat mechanicals at Abandoned Mining Post and take Mandibular Rearranger (Melee Weapon). Give it to Companion 2.

Cascadia Landing Pad on Monarch. There will be warnings about it being dangerous and Phineas will attempt to talk you out of it! While still on the landing pad, go behind your ship so that you are facing the canyon wall. Sneak and kill the two smaller raptidons. The large raptidon will run away. Your companions should not interfere if you kill the small rapts quickly. Defeat the enemies around the base of the ramp - sprats and more raptidons.

Now, just run to Stellar Bay without fighting any other enemies. At Stellar Bay, exit through the Stellar Bay Ruins (South) door. Run until you get to Amber Heights. Before the Blown Bridge, take path by the campfire up the hill on the right side. The UDL lab will be on the right at the top. Get the Gloop Gun and equip in Slot 1.

Fast travel to the Cascadia Landing Pad. Go into your companions' menu and ensure the one with the Ranged weapon has Ranged weapon as their preferred mode of attack. Verify that the companion with the melee weapon has Melee weapon as their preferred mode of attack.

(Save your game here before proceeding.)

Run around base of landing pad with Gloop Gun ready. Blast the large raptidon (the rapt that ran away earlier) then change to Prismatic Hammer. While the rapt is in the air, one of your companions will begin using the shrink ray. As soon as the rapt nears the ground, give it a good swing. You and your second companion should both hit the rapt at the same time. I didn't actually see Parvati strike the rapt, but the achievement popped immediately.

Good luck!

The achievement unlocks when you deliver the coup de grace to kill an enemy while it is under the status effects of at least four different science weapons. The science weapons can be equipped on the player-character and/or one or both companions. There are 11 science weapons in the game—5 in the base game and 3 in each of the two DLCs. However, the Employee Benefits handgun does not work on hostiles—its purpose is to heal allies—so only 10 science weapons are available for the achievement. The duration of their status effects is very brief. To ensure the target is inflicted with four different science weapon status effects, it helps to equip science weapons on both companions.

The 11 weapons are as follows:
  1. Gloop Gun: Heavy Weapon—Recommended for the achievement
  2. The Needler (Murder on Eridanos): Handgun—Recommended
  3. Spectrum Gatling (Murder on Eridanos): Long Guns—Recommended
  4. Special Delivery (Peril On Gorgon): Heavy Weapon—Recommended; equip on Vicar Max
  5. Mind Control Ray: Long Guns—equip on companion
  6. Shrink Ray: Handgun—equip on companion
  7. Mandibular Rearranger: 1-Handed Melee
  8. Prismatic Hammer: 2-Handed Melee
  9. The P.E.T. (Peril On Gorgon): 2-Handed Melee
  10. Udder Buddy (Murder on Eridanos): 1-Handed Melee
  11. Employee Benefits (Peril On Gorgon): Handgun—Cannot be used for the achievement
If you have an unadjusted Medical skill of 60, the status effect of all weapons including science weapons is increased by 50%. Your adjusted science skill increases the duration of the effects of the Gloop Gun and the Mandibular Rearranger.

If you are playing both DLCs and do not mind waiting until late in the game before unlocking the achievement:

The Needler is acquired late in the game towards the end of the Murder on Eridanos DLC. Nevertheless, it is a very good weapon for the achievement. I recommend equipping the Gloop Gun and the Needler on the player-character. For the other two science weapons, I recommend taking Nyoka and Vicar Max with you. Equip Nyoka with the Spectrum Gatling and Max with the Special Delivery (his science skill increases its range).

Having obtained and equipped the four or more science weapons you intend to use for the achievement, target a large enemy. The enemy must be robust enough to become afflicted with the status effects of the 4 science weapons before succumbing. A good location is Fallbrook on the Planet Monarch using the mega-Mantiqueen on a small island just left, in the river, as you exit Fallbrook and cross the bridge. I like to use the mega-Mantiqueen because of its slower speed in comparison to other large enemies.

Assuming you are using the recommended setup, direct both companions to defensive so they will only attack on command. Set them to ranged and medium distance. Ensure you have a good long-range, non-science weapon in the active slot (the Deadeye II/III or a Hunting Rifle Hyper are my recommendations). Equip the Gloop Gun and the Needler in the 2nd and 3rd slots.

Head out the main Fallbrook gate. If you’re playing on supernova, this will create an auto-save. If you are playing on a different mode, create a manual save closer to the action. Take a left into the river as soon as you cross the bridge. A little ways in front of you is a mega-Mantiqueen accompanied by several Mantisaurs and/or Mantipillars. Ideally, kill the lesser enemies at a distance from stealth using your long-range sniping weapon.

After all lesser enemies are dead, switch to the Gloop Gun as the active weapon. Unequip any weapon other than the Gloop Gun and the Needler. If you are not playing on supernova, make a manual at this point. If you are playing on supernova, you may want to pop in and out of Fallbrook to create an auto-save—the achievement may take more than one try.

Ensure the mega-Mantiqueen is not alert. Sneak up behind it until you are in the Gloop Gun’s range. As soon as the enemy is launched (one of the Gloop Gun's effects), switch to the Needler, direct your companions to attack by pressing up on the d-pad cn_up, and go into TTD. Fire the Needler slowly taking your time between shots. You can check the enemy’s status bar to ensure the status effects are active. While in TTD, the info panel on the bottom left of the screen provides a clearer display of the status effects. Once the mega-Mantiqueen lands, switch to the Gloop Gun. Return to the Needler when it is launched again.

By alternating weapons in this manner with your companions contributing with their two science weapons, you have a very good chance of killing the mega-Mantiqueen while under the effects of four weapons and the achievement will pop. However, the effects wear off rapidly and it is possible that the enemy will expire at an inopportune time. It this happens, load your save and try again until you unlock the achievement.

If you are not playing the DLC(s) and/or want to unlock the achievement earlier in the game:

If you want to get the achievement as early as possible, equip the Gloop Gun and the Mandibular Rearranger (or The Prismatic Hammer) on the player-character. I prefer the Manidibular Rearranger because it attacks more than twice as fast as the Prismatic Hammer and has a faster equip time. it also has the effect of slowing down or freezing the enemy which helps with the achievement. However, it is found later in the game on Scylla while the Prismatic Hammer (Groundbreaker) is the first science weapon available.

Equip the Shrink Ray and the Mind Control Ray on the companions of your choice. As before, direct both companions to defensive so they will only attack on command. Set them to ranged and medium distance. The Fallbrook mega-Mantiqueen is still a good target. Once you have dispatched the lesser enemies, created your auto- or manual save, and have equipped only the Gloop Gun and Mandibular Rearranger (or Prismatic Hammer) sneak up to the enemy with the Gloop Gun equipped.

Attack with the Gloop Gun and direct your companions to attack by pressing up on the d-pad cn_up. Switch to your melee weapon and approach the enemy launched by the Gloop Gun. Just before it lands, go into TTD and attack with the melee weapon. As soon as you see the enemy afflicted by the status effects, exit TTD, switch to the Gloop Gun, and launch the enemy again. Once more, switch to the melee weapon, approach the enemy, and wait until just before it lands before invoking TTD & attacking with the melee weapon. Repeat this cycle until the enemy dies. If the achievement does not pop, reload your save and try again until it does.

The reason you equipped the Shrink Ray and the Mind Control Ray on your companions is that they must constantly target the enemy to be effective. The companions’ AI is very good in this regard. The player-character, switching between weapons, finds it difficult to ensure both mind control and shrinkage remain in effect. Moreover, ranged weapons are better than melee weapons to barrage an agile enemy and ensure the status effects are constantly refreshed. Our preferred setup uses only ranged weapons because they have no difficulty targeting a launched enemy.

Whatever your tactics, this is one of the more challenging achievements. You may want to tinker with the weapons to make them more powerful. However, you do not want them too powerful so they kill the enemy before all four have inflicted their respective status effects.

This is a bit of a pain to set up, there are five science weapons in the game.

You can follow a quest to do this but I'll tell you the locations so you don't have to spend bits and still get the quest rewards and XP.

When you first travel away from Terra-2 you have access to Hawethornes terminal in his Quarters. Read everything on the computer and it'll start the quest.

Phineas' Lab
In front of his booth when you go there as part of the main quest line.

Groundbreaker
When you first enter the ship and go passed the security guard that impounds your ship the first time you enter. Go passed the security sections office and on the same side of the hall you can find the Bunkhouse of the officers. By the door there is a box, use that to climb on top of the beds. Crouch at the end and force your way through. The Hammer is in there.

Monarch
UDI Labs. More specifically the secret labs of Rizzo.
Go back up to the lab where you went for the Sublight quest for the Good doctor ("The Chimerist's Last Experiment"). At the back of the office right at the end, the back right, you'll see a hole in the wall with a ladded leading up. Run and jump, climb the ladder, jump across again and climb the second ladder to find the weapon.

Cascadia. The wepaon is near the temrinal used during "The Space-Crime Continuum" Sublight side quest.

Scylla
Abandoned Mines. Kill the robots gaurding it and then head to the back. There is a building that is barred from the inside, look to the building on the left and open the door, search the containers to get the second melee science weapon (which is the only useless one).

Now for the annoying part of this trophy.
I gave the Shrink ray to one ally and the Gloop gun to the other, the AI seems to struggle with the Mind-control and when to use it. I had the Mind Control ray and the Hammer. Find an enemy, preferably the last one in the group. Use mind control and wait til you see the effects of the other two guns. quickly switch and hit the enemy with the hammer.
If done correctly the hammer should be the killing blow and the trophy will pop.

The DLC science weapons do work for this achievement.
I sold two of the science weapons from the main game long ago and didn't have a save before I sold them but when I recently played through the two DLCs (Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos) there are 6 total science weapons I acquired.

I followed the other guides here and put a science GUN on each of my companions and had them only using guns as their behavior. I bumped my medical up to 60 in order to get the perk for 50% added effects duration. And then I actually just put 4 different science weapons on me.

I had this set up against the final boss of the Murder on Eridanos DLC on Easy difficulty. I just kept switching between my 4 science weapons that I personally had equipped and letting my companions shoot away with their science guns and the achievement popped when I killed the boss.

*MISSABLE*

There are a total of five science weapons in the game. Their locations are as follows:

  • Phineas' Lab: Just outside the room he sealed himself inside.
  • Prismatic Hammer: On Groundbreaker, just past the customs checkpoint, go through the door on the left and through the small hole above the lockers to find a hidden room.
  • Mind Control Ray: In the Secret Lab in Cascadia, all the way at the back inside the elevator shaft.
  • Gloop Gun: Inside the UDL Lab in the Monarch Wilderness. You'll need to get a keycard for the terminal to unlock the gun. You can hack it right away, or answer the questions with the following answers: protect the Chairman, berate him relentlessly, arrest your spouse.
  • Mindibular Rearranger: On Scylla, in one of the buildings on the east side of the planet.
Now that you have all five weapons, we'll need to kill an enemy while it has been affected with at least four of them. Your best bet will be to give two of the weapons to your companions and instruct them to only use that weapon (switch them to melee or ranged only), then equip two others on yourself (leave two empty weapon slots so you can switch faster). You could even have all three others equipped and juggle those which should help slightly, though it could also hinder you. You'll have to see how it goes.

I found this easiest to do on a large enemy (I used Col. Butterscotch on Scylla, any Mega enemy should work just fine though). Save prior to initiating the fight, and take it down to half health or less with normal weapons first, then focus on the science weapons. Since your two companions are always using theirs, you should have the effect of two things almost the entire time, and just need to juggle the other two yourself. Use TTD right before the enemy is about to die to get in another hit or two if something has worn off. Even with this method, it might take a few tries as you get the kill with only 2-3 active since they don't last long.

You will receive a quest to gather the science weapons, which is the harder part. Once you have them, this isn't actually all that bad.

I leveled up the mind control ray to have one gun with high damage, leaving the others unleveled. Then I gave my companions one of the melee weapons each and set them to melee only. I went onto Monarch with its higher level enemies and had both companions attack the same enemy. With my companions doing very little damage it gave me plenty of time to do my part. I hit the enemy with the gloop gun and once it was floating I blasted it with the mind control ray. Worked on my first attempt.

There are no weapons with 4 effects.
It is necessary for the enemy to die while under 4 effects from different scientific weapons. Total 5 for the quest "Weapon of the Abyss".

1. Gives the baton and pistol to his partners.
2. When the monster has little HP left, we shoot with heavy weapons
3. Turn on time dilation
4. Switch to automatic, if the monster has 3+ scientific effects, we finish it off
5. Try again if it doesn’t work

P.S. The two-handed hammer is not participating in the party

You can also give two partners one scientific weapon for both melee and ranged combat, and take the remaining ranged weapon into your own hands and go kill some fat mob (for example, kill the bug on Nioka’s instructions). It was in these conditions that I took this trophy without save loading.

I made all 4 weapon slots without the help of a partner and, with the help of TZV, caused damage from all 4 weapons, I did it on hard.

In order to receive the Weapon of the Abyss quest, you need to read the information in Hawthorne's computer (2nd floor of your ship)

Made it even easier almost at the very end of the game:
Gave two partners scientific melee weapons (bludgeon and hammer), gave them melee priority and aggressive behavior.
I kept 3 barrels of scientific weapons for myself.
He waited until his partners attacked the enemy and then fired at the enemy from all three of his guns in turn.
The trophy fell on the second opponent.

Not right away, but it worked out, he took a Hypnotic Beam and a Prismatic Hammer, set his partners to fight distance - far, weapons - long-range, gave one a Shrinking Beam, the other a Gel Cannon. Ordered his partners to attack, ran up to the Beetle (the most suitable target for performing this achievements - since on easy difficulty he will not die quickly), a hammer blow, then changed it to a hypnobeam and finished it off with it. Make sure that there are at least 4 effects on the target and then everything will work out.

I'll tell you how I did it. I’ll immediately warn you not to sell scientific weapons, but if this suddenly happens, then don’t be too upset (if you sold one weapon. If 2 or more, then start again). When going out to a planet or somewhere else, give one partner a ranged weapon (I gave a shrink ray) and go to the rightmost tab and set distance-far, weapon-ranged, attack mode. This will allow the partner to attack only at a long distance and, accordingly, with our weapons. Give the second partner a baton. And in the same tab as the first partner, set the settings Distance-close, weapon-melee, attack mode. After this, we find an enemy with a lot of HP and see if effects appear on him. After that, we shoot at him ourselves with scientific weapons and finish off (I personally don’t understand whether it counts if you finished off with the same weapon that inflicted the effect or you only need to finish off with others, but after I saw 4 effects I chose another weapon and finished off with it) .
