How to unlock the Interrogo Totus achievement in The Outer Worlds - Definitive Guide

This achievement is missable.

To unlock this achievement, you need to successfully investigate every suspect in the murder mystery and complete the relevant quest associated with them.

This achievement was the only one that I did not unlock during my initial playthrough, and I was confused when I went back to it as I did investigate every suspect. However, you can investigate the suspects without doing the actual missions associated with them, and the achievement will only unlock when the following quests are marked as complete in your journal:

• Prince of Tossball (Bertie)
• The Man Who Chafed (Spencer Woolrich)
• Lord of Blight (Sedrick)
• The Productivity Queen (The Prophet)

And then choose who you think the killer is when reporting to Administrator Ludovico (your choice does not have an impact on the story, apart from different dialogue options).

The Productivity Queen is the quest I had an issue with. The Prophet is found on the northern island on the map, in the abandoned Rizzo bunker. You can exhaust her story line by visiting and investigating. However you must speak to Bellhop Norville in the hotel lobby (next to the elevator) and exhaust his dialogue and he will tip you off about the Prophet and start the quest. As I was backtracking and trying to find a solution to get this achievement, the achievement actually unlocked for me as soon as I got the quest from the bellhop, and the quest self-completed in my journal as I had already exhausted the Prophet’s storyline.

Not sure if this is helpful, but you can also trigger the Prophet’s quest by reading the second log in the terminal of your penthouse suite.

You unlock the “Lord of the Blight” quest after concluding the “Prince of Tossball” quest

Made the mistake of clicking too fast through the dialog & missed it

So even if you've completed all 4 quests, it's possible to lock yourself out of this achievement depending on your dialogue with Ludovico. For me the discussion about Woolrich, I accidentally hit one of the "Lie" options which didn't reveal details about Woolrich to Ludovico, and after completing all dialogue options with him (including finishing the The Man Who Chafed quest) no achievement.

I reloaded my save (thankfully I made one right before talking to Ludovico) and went through the dialogue options again, this time revealing details about Woolrich to Ludovico and the achievement popped.

You can also trigger “Lord of the Blight” by speaking to the front desk worker in Kincannon’s office. I completed his full quest before speaking to Black Hole Bertie.

For Productivity Queen speak to Aliyah Mason (in front of Prophet’s tent) to progress the mission after you’ve exhausted all dialogues with the Prophet.

anyone else notice that the Bellhop looks alot like the adoring fan from oblivion? Only a little older or human race rather (isnt he bosmer in obvlivion?)

I'm still having issues with The Productivity Queen. I have done every bit of the quest, including talking to the Bellhop, but the only progress in the Journal is the first "investigate" line, which shows complete. And that's it. It never progressed past that, despite me investigating the dump site, confronting her about it, and speaking to Ludovico.

I'm not really sure how to resolve this - hopefully the Quest functions normally on a different playthrough.

EDIT: I had to completely exhaust Aliyah Morrison's dialogue, even though I had already performed all of the tasks she would have otherwise lead me to. Discovering things out of order seems to be a problem with this completing normally.

The achievement unlocks when you investigate all four suspects and report to Ludovico. The dialog choices regarding each suspect do not matter. The achievement pops when you complete the dialog pertaining to the 4th & final suspect. The sequence of the four investigations does not matter. However, the achievement is missable.

When talking to Ludovico before reporting on the 4th suspect, do NOT select the option, I know who killed Halcyon Helen. If you do, the story segues into the end game and this achievement is no longer available. In other words, do NOT start An Unfinished Accusation until you unlock the Interrogo Totus achievement.

An Unfinished Accusation begins when you talk to Ludovico and choose the option, ”I know who killed Halcyon Helen.” This advances the story towards the end game, but you lock yourself out of the achievement if you do so before completing all 4 investigations. For that reason, make sure you investigate the following suspects by completing their associated quests—the specific order of quest completion does not matter:
  • ➤ Bertie: Prince of Tossball
  • ➤ Spencer Woolrich: The Man Who Chafed
  • ➤ The Prophet: The Productivity Queen
  • ➤ Sedrick: Lord of Blight
When you report to Ludovico regarding the 4th and final suspect whoever he or she might be in your playthrough and conclude the ensuing conversation, the achievement pops. In each report to Ludovico, some of the dialog choices lean towards the suspect’s innocence others to the suspect’s guilt. Nevertheless, dialog choices regarding the suspect do not matter. Select the ones you prefer.
The above video demonstrates a playthrough where Sedrick is the 4th and final suspect. After reporting to Ludovico and concluding the dialog, the achievement pops. Note that, in the video, when reporting to Ludovico, one of the choices is ”I know who killed Halcyon Helen.” Selecting this option before reporting on Sedrick would have voided the achievement and made it missable. Had this occurred, the remedy would have been to load a save or auto-save created before telling Ludovico you know who killed Helen.

This achievement requires you to interrogate and investigate all four suspects and report the findings to Ludovico for each one. The reason this is missable is because as soon as you report the findings of the first of four to Ludovico, the dialogue option to accuse a suspect becomes available, and as soon as you choose it you progress the story and can't investigate further. So just make sure you don't elect to name a killer until you've completed all four of the following quests:
 
  • The Prince of Tossball (Bertie) 
  • The Productivity Queen (Prophet) 
  • The Man Who Chafed (Spencer) 
  • Lord of Blight (Sedrick) 
All of these quests will be automatically added to your journal as you continue to progress with the investigation, with the except of 'The Productivity Queen.' There are two ways to add this quest to your journal: go into the room on the right side of your penthouse and read the second message on the terminal in there, or talk to the bellhop at the elevators and ask about the Prophet. Either one will start that quest. 
 
From there, it's simply a matter of completing each quest (which includes returning to your penthouse and reporting the results to Ludovico). It doesn't matter what you choose to tell about the suspects or detain them or anything, so long as you complete all four quests.

This trophy is easy to miss. You need to talk to all four suspects and complete the story missions associated with them before you begin reporting the results to administrator Ludovico.

The first three suspects will be given to you almost automatically, but with the fourth - the Prophet - everything is not so clear. To get a tip on her, you need to either read the second note in the terminal of your penthouse or get information from Norvel, who is standing in the hotel lobby near the elevators, for this you need to listen to all of his dialogues. The character himself is located in a bunker on the northern island.

At the time of receiving the trophy, you must have 4 active or completed tasks:
• Prince of infection
• A person who knew how to get to the bottom of things
• Prince Tosobol
• Queen of Productivity

In each of the tasks, the last point of completion should be “ Contact administrator Ludovico ”.
There are usually no problems with the first three, however, for this item to appear in the “ Queen of Productivity ” quest, it is necessary:
• Scan the tracks near the Prophetess's bunker and where they lead.
• Scan the dry herbs in the tent where the Prophetess is standing.
• Talk to the Prophetess herself.
• Talk to Alia Menson. She stands in front of the tent.

Next, feel free to go report to Louis about the results of the interrogations. After completing all four quests, you will receive a trophy.

Keep in mind that when you talk to Ludovico, " I know who killed Elena " is the point of no return for this trophy. Click on it after completing the above tasks.
