Equip a Spacer's choice weapon in each of the four weapon slots. Back out of the info screen by pressing . The achievement will pop.
The achievement can be unlocked very early in the game. The player-character is equipped with Spacer's Choice armor, the Hibernation Suit. The first NPC encountered is Guard Pelham who hands over his pistol of Spacer's Choice manufacture. On your way to your ship you'll encounter a few marauders that you (or the soldiers near the ship) can kill. They are likely to drop Spacer's Choice weapons, armor, and helmets when you loot their corpses.
When you follow the road from your ship to the town of Edgewater and enter by the main (south) entrance, you'll find the General Store as the second building on your right. You can buy the Spacer's Choice items you need for the achievement. The Shopkeeper, Julius Moreau, sells a Telescoping Staff (120 bits), a Light Assault Rifle (140 bits), & a Revolver (160 bits) as his 3 cheapest Spacer's Choice Weapons. He sells the Spacer's Choice Mining Helmet for 50 bits.
Assuming you're wearing the Spacer's Choice Hibernation Suit and have Pelham's Spacer's Choice pistol but were unable to find any other Spacer's Choice items, the General Store will provide the remaining items. If you need cash (bits), there's a lot of stuff (bits and items) that you can loot or steal about town. You can sell items to Moreau before you purchase General Store merchandise.
Once you have the necessary items, equip them as described above. The achievement will pop. Since, as the achievement implies, the Spacer's Choice items are not very good. You may want to load up the auto-save that was created when you entered Edgewater and continue the game without wasting bits on frivolous purchases made only to unlock an achievement.
