How to unlock the High five achievement in The Path of Go - Definitive Guide

The Xbox Live game mode is a bit broken, saying "You need to be signed in and connected to Xbox Live to access the functionality.".
In order to bypass the problem, you need to sign out of your profile and sign back in on the game's menu.

Get yourself a boosting buddy as this game is dead online. Both of you search for a ranked match (this can take a very long time... 5 minutes at most). Once you two are put together you will both be randomly chosen as the black/white stones holder.

If white wants to win, have both players pass without placing any stones. White is always handicapped a few points at the start.

If black wants the win, get black to place several stones down and white to keep passing. Both then pass until it concludes black will win. If it's not enough, you can continue until you get it.

You need to win 5 ranked matches total. Board size does not matter.

You can either do this legit, or get a boosting buddy. In a boosting game neither player plays any stones, just passes. This gives white the win.

It's a little difficult to find someone to play with, as there are only 265 people in the leaderboards. (Dec 29th)

Agreed. 19x19 games are hard to find, 9x9 may be your best chance. Likely, you'll have to wait for minutes for someone to show up.

Have you and your boosting partner each pass your first turn. This will give the white stone player the win thanks to the komi rule. If you're having trouble getting the right player to be the white stone player, just have the person winning take enough turns to get enough points to beat out the komi rule with the loser passing each turn.

As a side note, the multiplayer makes it harder to match up when your trueskill rankings are further apart. So if you feel like making the extra effort in game instead of while matchmaking just take turns winning instead of just giving the win to the white stone player. Your choice. Both methods work and it still honestly doesn't take that long either way.
