How to unlock the Peanut Butter Butterpops! achievement in The Quarry - Definitive Guide
I would recommend doing this AFTER you complete the "everyone survives" playthrough for the Rough Night achievement, but it can be done at the same time. As there are branching narrative pathways, some of the instances I've included below may not pop up for you, and some things might appear that did not come up in my playthrough.
The basic idea is that any opportunity where you are given control of the gun, you need to fire and hit the target. Thankfully, the game will fire the gun for you if you set the menu to do so.
At the start of Chapter 3, go into the settings menu, then select accessibility. In the accessibility menu, switch it so that aim assist is on AUTO. This will help you not miss the shots, and it also only fire when there is a combat encounter that needs to be passed.
These are the following combat encounter instances that came up while I was using my save from my "everyone survives" playthrough; again, if you make different choices, there may be some combat encounters that you do not see, or some that I have not included here because I didn't come across them.

Can someone confirm that you can go back in chapter select rather than having to do a full playthrough?

Did QTEs can affect this? Because I shot in every combat oportunity, everyone survives and the achievement did not unlock. In some guides they tell to kill Jacob in chapter 4. This is needed? I'm confused.

This one sounds very tricky, but it's actually one of the easiest Achievements to get in The Quarry. For clarity's sake, this guide is going to assume the intended ending is to have everyone survive, so that is how the combat encounters will be listed.
To help prevent this Achievement from not popping, we're going to go into Settings, Accessibility, and turn Aim Assist onto Auto. With this turned on, there is no way to miss this Achievement.
Prologue:
- Nothing.
Chapter 1:
- Nothing.
Chapter 2:
- Jacob and Nick will have a friendly shooting competition together. Simply let the auto-aim do its trick as Nick and watch as each target is hit.
Chapter 3:
- As Ryan, you can either take the shortest or longest route to rescue Nick. Assuming you took the shortest route, you will see a scene where a large man is attempting to carry Nick away. Allow auto-aim to shoot the man and rescue Nick. If you took the longest route to rescue Nick, auto-aim will instead aim at the bushes where Nick is appearing from. No shots will be fired, but this is intentional.
Chapter 4:
- When hearing rustling in the bushes, auto-aim will aim at the bushes but not shoot. During the second time, when Jacob will appear, the exact same thing will happen. No shots will be fired, but this is intentional.
Chapter 5:
- When inspecting the intruder in the lodge as Kaitlyn, pass the first QTE to hide from him. Fail the next two QTEs so that Kaitlyn will be prompted to shoot the table the large man is holding to block her shot. Auto-aim will shoot the table and Kaitlyn will get away.
- When dealing with Dylan's infected hand, choose to use the Shotgun instead of the Chainsaw. Auto-aim will shoot off Dylan's hand.
Chapter 6:
- After being violently thrown aside as Abigail, auto-aim will shoot Nick.
Chapter 7:
- Nothing. However, in order to ensure the best ending, knock out The Cop using the sedatives found in the police station or take his gun and apologize to him when locking him inside Laura's prison cell.
Chapter 8:
- Nothing. Do not allow Laura to shoot the werewolf in the electrified cage because this is Nick. Solve the breaker puzzle to free Jacob so that he is not later mauled to death in Chapter 9.
Chapter 9:
- Accept Laura's bite to prevent Ryan from dying. After falling through the attic floor due to Chris Hackett walking on it, auto-aim will shoot him and end Laura and Max's werewolf curse.
- As Abigail, pick up the shotgun shells filled with silver in the storm shelter of the lodge before climbing up the ladder.
Chapter 10:
- After selecting Prepare for Attack as Kaitlyn in the lodge, choose SHOOT. Auto-aim will shoot the werewolf. Next, choose BEAM > RUN > INVESTIGATE. Emma will slide the silver shotgun shell found in the storm shelter to Kaitlyn, which auto-aim will then use to shoot and kill the werewolf chasing her and Dylan.
- When playing as Laura, press cn_A during the Interrupt "Shoot?" and watch as auto-aim shoots and kills Silas, ending the werewolf curse on Hackett's Quarry.
Congratulations! Following your last encounter with Eliza/The Hag of Hackett's Quarry, the Achievement should pop along with The White Wolf and Rough Night if you haven't gotten those two Achievements already.

For this trophy you must shoot and hit the target every encounter chance you get through the entire game. There are some good detailed guides online to walk you through this trophy but it's unsure which (if any encounters) you can skip via character deaths. Also it is possible to miss encounters due to choices made in the story. Feel free to use my path through the game as a reference as it does unlock the trophy. I would also highly recommend due to the terrible autosaving system to turn off your auto-upload for cloud saves and manually make a new cloud save before each encounter to reduce replay time in case you miss a shot.
I was able to unlock the trophy using the following encounters:
Chapter 2 - Shooting Contest (2 Watermelons, 2 beer bottles.... the first watermelon won't burst due to the range)
Chapter 3 - Shoot @ Hunter Bobby (must use shortcuts 2x as Ryan)
Chapter 4 - DO NOT SHOOT at bushes the first time
- Shoot at center of bushes 2nd time (Kills Jacob if done correctly)
Chapter 5 - Shoot Table Bobby is holding as Kaitlyn (must fail the QTE when he chases you on the stairs so he picks up the table)
- Shoot ceiling in the radio cabin as Ryan (encounter is missable, you must choose to BREAK IN to the cabin with Abi in Chapter 1)
Chapter 6 - Shoot Nick with Abi
Chapter 8 - Shoot Werewolf Emma exiting the car (requires Emma to be bit by failing final QTE in escaping Max in Chapter 4)
- Let Laura shoot Nick in the cage
Chapter 9 - Shoot Werewolf Chris
Chapter 10 - Shoot Caleb 2x with Kaitlyn (Choose WAIT, SHOOT (1), BEAM, RUN, INVESTIGATE, SHOOT (2). This requires Abi to pick up the
silver shells in the storm shelter in Chapter 9).
- Choose Raise gun the first time and shoot Silas (Missable, requires that Ryan survives and Travis and Laura work together, use the
syringe in chapter 7, don't shoot Travis)
The trophy will pop after your epilogue conversation with Eliza

Go To Options And Set Auto-Aim To "Auto" (Not Off, Not On, AUTO) Then Start A Playthrough.
Did This On An "Everyone's Infected", "Everyone Lives", "Get All Clues" Playthrough
- Shooting Game Hit All Targets
- Use Shortcut Twice So Ryan Shoots Bobby
- Didnt Shoot Bushes
- Didn't Shoot Roof
- Kaitlyn Got Blooded And Shot Bobby
- Abi Shot Nick
- Kaitlyn Shot Emma Three Times When She Pops Out Of The Van (Regular Shot, Make Sure Emma Gets Bit On The Island)
- Laura Didnt Shoot Nick (Interrupt)
- Ryan Shot Chris (Didn't Die Because He Had Accepted Bite From Laura)
- Kaitlyn Shot Caleb With A Silver Round From Abi
- Laura "Raises Gun" And Shoots Silas, First Chance.
Make Sure You Put Auto-Aim To "Auto" In Settings BEFORE You Start A File, I've Heard It Doesn't Work If You Set It Later Than That, And It Also Only Works 50% Of The Time If You Change It Around Mid-Game.
Good Luck!

Any time you have to aim your weapon and shoot you have to succeed in the shot. The thing is the shooting in the game can be a little finnicky at times. So to make your life easier, if you go to Settings > Accessibility > Aim Assist and turn it to Auto...you'll automatically succeed all shooting events and the trophy will still unlock. Alternatively you set Aim Assist to On, and you'll automatically aim where you need to, but you'll still have to pull the trigger.
NOTE: There's certain reports that Shooting Jacob in ths bushes in Chapter 4 counts as a combat encounter, which means you'd have to do this in your Everybody Dies playthrough. But for me, this popped in my Everybody Lives playthrough, meaning I didn't shoot at Jacob at all.

To achieve the trophy, you must complete successful shots for Abby, Laura, Nick, Ryan, Caitlin. We don't need the rest of the characters, since they don't shoot. We are talking about some scenes where you need to successfully hit the target with a gun without missing (9 times) and two scenes where you don’t need to shoot at all (shooting twice will be considered a miss), for this we do the following:
Chapter 1: we break down the door to the hut for Emma and Abby, take the toy. This will affect further events.
Chapter 2: we hit watermelons and bottles as Nick (flashlight sight). The first shot from a distance does not count. (1).
Chapter 3: We ask where Nick is at Abby’s and we run the short way to see Bobby dragging Nick, we warn (you need to shout to stop them so that they don’t move away, otherwise you will miss when shooting), shoot straight at Bobby (you must hit so that Nick didn't bite Bobby) (2).
Chapter 4: for Ryan we warn that we will shoot, but do not shoot into the bushes (this will not be a successful shot, then we shoot (kill Jacob) (3).
PS Next, you can open the hatch for Emma immediately without looking into the bag and die, we don’t need it anymore and thereby save time.
Chapter 5: Give the gun to Caitlin. Then we hide behind Caitlin behind the wall and then fail two QTEs (hitting the railing and not catching the can) so that Bobby throws the can at us and we shoot at the table. (4).
For Ryan, we DO NOT shoot at the ceiling in the radio room. This will be a mistake, then do what you want.
Chapter 6: shoot Nick for Abby. (5).
Chapter 7: Laura needs to take the syringe and hide it in the cell, we cooperate with Travis. DO NOT grab the gun, use the syringe. So that Travis doesn’t kill us in Chapter 9 and the next path opens.
Chapter 8: for Ryan, we DO NOT stop Laura at the cage so she shoots Nick. (6).
Chapter 9: we DO NOT pull out the knife for Ryan, and then we hit Bobby with the knife.
We agree to the bite and DO NOT interrupt Laura.
You can fail the QTE for Dylan and he will be killed, we don’t need him anymore.
Then we shoot the werewolf for Ryan (7). We agree to help Travis.
Chapter 10: for Caitlin in the cottage, we prepare for an attack and click wait, then we shoot at the werewolf (you need to shoot exactly in the first scene (8), then we run along the beam, run again, check and grab the silver cartridges from Abby and kill the werewolf (wait for came closer).
For Laura, we kill Silas, interrupt to immediately shoot at Silas (9), while Travis remains alive. The trophy drops as soon as the display of the dead or survivors begins.

You can set the shooting mode to “automatic” and not worry about this trophy. Characters where it is necessary will shoot and hit, and where it is not necessary they will not shoot. I just checked - shooting and killing Jacob for this in Chapter 4 is NOT NECESSARY

Auto-firing really helped out) I followed the guide and got it) The only thing is that in the 5th chapter you don’t have to fail the third qte as Caitlin (that is, dodge a bottle of blood) - the shot will still be fired)

The most buggy trophy due to its variability. Maybe it depends on the version or patches...
According to the description of the trophy, I thought that you need to take part in those battles where you personally have a gun.
In the first two playthroughs, I was generally guided by the head prompt with all the comments + the additional act of shooting with Emma in the form of a werewolf.
1st playthrough:
1.Watermelon (default miss). Watermelon, Watermelon, Bottle.
2. I stupidly ignored the handicraft Jacob.
3. He didn’t let Nika be killed either.
As a result, to zero... I loaded the save from chapter 8, killed Nick and still to hell with you...
2nd playthrough:
1.Watermelon (default miss). Watermelon, 2 bottles, 1 bottle.
2. In the first red scale I ignored the bushes, the second time I shot at the corner of the screen so as not to kill Jacob.
3. He didn’t shoot at the ceiling of the radio room, he broke his hand with a shotgun.
4. Again, he didn’t let Nika be killed.
As a result, the second attempt was a waste, and I no longer cry or laugh...
3rd playthrough I follow everything according to the Power Pyx guide, iiiiiiiii again %;%?” No. 4 nothing…. (purely wasted time, in others I knocked out at least one side achievement).
In the first three playthroughs: Aiming assistance: Automatic was Off (displayed - On. And all 3 times I thought that this was Auto-Aim, and without Auto-Aim previously I got everywhere where it was necessary).
... and then I began to play with the dialogues and enjoy the game, as in the very first playthrough, of which there were 5 in total ..... I hate my stubbornness ....
I started the 4th playthrough with Automatic aiming, where it is needed - it shoots there without the participation of the player!!!!
From the variability (O didn’t shoot Jacob, didn’t shoot off Dylan’s hand, protected Mike, grandma, grandpa and Bobby, just like he didn’t touch a cop), aaaand voila, finally ding...
Don't repeat my fate, just use Auto-Fire!
