How to unlock the Nick of Time achievement in The Quarry - Definitive Guide

This comes during the third chapter as you control Ryan. Twice on the way to Nick, you can choose to take a shortcut rather than the path. Doing so will bring up prompts for moving the thumbstick one direction. Simply pass each of them and this achievement will unlock.

Is this glitched? I've done it 2 times now and haven't unlocked the achievement.

In Chapter 3, as Ryan, you need to choose to take the shortcut twice when running into the forest after Nick. Each shortcut will require you to complete some QTEs, don't fail any of them to make it in time.

When you’re Ryan running to find Nick, don’t take the bridge at any point, keep jumping the gaps to make it to Nick the quickest.

When Abi gets back to camp you will play as Ryan and go off to find Nick. You will have choices to make multiple times. Every choice you need to select shortcut/quickest route and pass all the QTE's. Taking every single shortcut and passing all the QTE's you will get to Nick in time to see him being dragged away by Bobby. Doing this will unlock the achievement.

This will be a trophy you earn in your first Playthrough if you follow the Walkthrough for Everybody Lives. 

This takes place during Chapter 3.

During a cutscene when Abi returns the campfire in fear, she'll explain what happened and Ryan will take charge and run into the woods after Nick. During this section you need to choose "TAKE SHORTCUT" twice and pass the QTEs without fail to make it to Nick in time.

Take the shortcut twice. There will be a number of QTE events.
First cut - QTE stick up - QTE stick up - QTE stick right - QTE quickly press X. Second cut - QTE stick up - QTE stick left - QTE stick left - QTE stick up - QTE stick right.
Then we shout to the hunter and take a shot.
He will have to drop the vial of blood.
