How to unlock the Phlebotomy achievement in The Quarry - Definitive Guide


In Chapter 7, as Laura, use the syringe to knock out Travis rather than stealing his gun and shooting him. In Chapter 9 when Ryan is stabbed, don't pull the knife out, but use it to stab Bobby Hackett and accept Laura's bite to earn Phlebotomy. As Ryan, you need to shoot monster Chris Hackett at the end of the chapter. After Chris' death, Laura needs to agree to work with Travis by choosing the Suspicious dialogue option.

I didn't get anything about a syringe..

This comes during the chapter The Matriarch late in the game. Ryan will have been stabbed, and Laura offers to bite/ infect him so he does not die from the wound. If you accept, you will get the achievement. NOTE - This is not a negative, as later killing the infected head of the camp with cure both Laura and Ryan of their infection.

You will earn this on your Everyone Lives playthrough if you followed the walkthrough. 

This will unlock in Chapter 9 after you pull the knife out and stab Bobby. Laura will offer to infect you so you heal, choose:
  • SYMPATHETIC
  • ACCEPT
  • DON'T Pull Away

Chapter 9. When Raen is stabbed with a knife, it doesn’t matter whether he gets it or not. The main thing is to agree that Laura bites Ryan. Agree, and then do not remove your hand so that the bite goes through to the end.
