How to unlock the Prologue achievement in The Quarry - Definitive Guide
This achievement is very straightforward all you need to do is complete the prologue as Laura. Below will have a list of every decision and it's impact.
Leaflet or Map:
Both options result in the same outcome of max getting distracted and crashing.
1st QTE:
The first QTE is to the right. Doing it successfully will cause Laura to grab the wheel avoiding the stump.
After the QTE you will be stuck in the woods broken down. You need to interact with Max. He will prompt you to check the trunk of the car for tools. Once you get to the trunk a interruption occurs.
Snoop/don't snoop:
If you choose to snoop you will see Max's college rejection letter. If you choose not to snoop nothing will happen.
Then you will return to max but In the distance you see a ghost figure. Which will make your character go in the forest to investigate. In the forest you can find 4 clues and 1 tarot card. Laura will eventually become scared and run back to Max.
2nd & 3rd QTE:
The 2nd QTE is down and the third is up. Both events will save Laura from falling.
As you return to max and get ready to leave a cop pulls you over.
Honest/Dishonest:
Honest: Being honest with the cop it will strengthen your bond with the cop later on.
Dishonest: The cop won't believe you weakening your bond with him later on.
No matter what option you choose the cop will tow your car and you will be prompted to answer the cops question being friendly or dismissive.
Friendly/dismissive:
Friendly: Laura will tell the cop they are going to the summer camp.
Dismissive: Laura will tell the cop that they are taking in the sights.
Soon after you will have another dialogue choice with the cop. Since he tells Laura to go to the Harbinger motel.
Insistent/Complaint:
Insistent: Laura will tell the cop that they will still go to the summer camp.
Compliment: Laura will comply and say she will go to the motel.
depending on how you did the QTE 2&3 if you succeed nothing will happen. If you failed the cop will attempt to wipe the mud off your face. You can either let him do it and yell at Max. Or recoil away and stop him.
Next you and Max will have a short conversation about the cop then you will drive to the summer camp. Once there you will have to investigate the basement of the main building. It will give you a decision to use a hammer or wrenches to open the gate. But both options will result in the same outcome. Once you get inside of the cellar you will find a clue. After you get the clue Max will be attacked and Laura will either leave or help him.
Help Max/Leave Max:
Help Max: If you help Max later on Max will appreciate it.
Leave Max: if you leave Max then later on Max will think less of you.

...and at this point after "The Quarry" logo appears, if you picked up the Tarot card, tell the reader you'd like to see more for the "Forwarned is Forearmed" achievement, which will then pop just before the "Prologue" achievement does.
