The Rabbit Hole

After solving the flipping puzzle, there is a slip of paper in the desk next to the main door which shows a series of numbers. After you've eaten the cupcake to grow large, walk over to the grandfather clock and interact with the clock face.

The goal is to get the numbers around the center of the clock with 12 at the top, 8 to the right, 6 to the bottom and 3 to the left - see the image below. The trick is to use the space where the numbers don't move to get the number in order. What I do is to get 12, 8 and 6 in sequence on the left circle. If the 3 is on the bottom circle, move the numbers on the left circle so that they don't touch the bottom circle. You can then position the 3 in its spot then rotate the left circle to put the remaining numbers in place. Similarly if the 3 is on the right circle, position the left circle so the 3 numbers aren't touching the right circle and move the 3 into position. Now rotate the left circle so all numbers are in place.
