How to unlock the Decimation achievement in The Riftbreaker - Definitive Guide
You meet Flurians midway through the DLC campaign. Minor spoiler about what they are:
The easiest way to get this, if you don’t already have it toward the end of the DLC, is to wait around for a couple base attacks on your main mission map (the first map, also the one you keep returning to). Don’t immediately leave when you’re prompted to go (Mr. Rigs will prompt to you upgrade you weapons first and tell you you have to march down a narrow valley). These seem to happen every ten minutes or so and you can probably just stand and watch your turrets do the work if you like. At this point the base sieges are getting pretty big so it should only take one or two.
By this point in the game I assume you’re familiar with big base sieges. Just note that many of these enemies can fly over natural barriers and enter your base so make sure to toss a few clusters of towers near everything important.

What are Flurians though?

No worries. I was wondering which ones of the enemy the Flurians were or if it was a term for their race as a whole. Thank you for clarifying.

All 5 achievements of this Metal Terror DLC can be done by playing a short Survival game within 1 and half hour if you are lucky enough and know what to do.
For this achievement to kill 500 Flurians, It is the Centaur enemy rarely appears on the whole Metal Terror map, you will be expecting them to show up from the final rush, the method is simply make a save right before the final enemy rush then load it, rinse and repeat until you unlock this achievement.
The general idea of how to do this is from Tonyski's solution of how to easily cheese a Survival game in 30 mins: (Credits goes to him)
We are going to setup the Survival game settings just like what he said in the above link, but we need a way larger map(the largest size: 8X8) for 3 rare resources to generate more easily: Titanium(purple), Palladium(yellow) and Cobalt(deep blue) to build up certain defense towers, and more possibility for the map to randomly generate some metallic bioanomalies for another achievement.
No need to change Mr.Riggs's equipment at all, you will be quickly explore the map to see it has all 3 rare resources mentioned above and then start to build up your base and its defenses within 30 mins. Don't build your base on any edge of map because it cannot force any enemy rushes NOT to spawn from there. As you explore the map, ignore all those lightning wizard enemies who fires lightning bolts and blasts as you cannot damage them for ranged weapon shortage, use teleporters well to run away from there if necessary.
You are going to max out all possible researches non-stop in 15 or 20 mins once you build the research center, keep on eye the right above corner frequently to see if the no active research is ongoing at the moment as you explore the map or build anything. I am not sure skipping the middle page of Mr.Riggs's gears affects this solution or not, for your safety just do all researches from the middle page once you max out the 1st and 3rd one. For this paid DLC no more alien researches are performed by the alien research facility(the one needs water), so no need to provide water.
Once you finish building up basic infrastructures of Refineries, Power Supplies, Defense Tower ammo crafting buildings, Storages. Go build up rare recourse refineries on certain places you explored earlier. A bunch of Wind turbines with 3 or 4 refineries and a teleporter will be just fine.
A small enemy rush will occur before you start to build defense towers, you can use dual spears for a longer range if necessary. Build up 2 layers of wall and level 3 defense towers behind them, I used Plasma, Laser, Minigun, Missile level 3 towers and they worked well. Connect power nodes to all towers, build 2 or 3 repair towers behind them, teleporter and radars on certain places as well. My base was in a rectangle shape, but yours can be in any shapes, as far as the enclosure is closed and defense towers are fully covered on all edges you will be fine.
Make a save as the final rush counter starts. My achievement tracker advanced around 15% each load. For the metallic bioanomalies achievement, just do it the same way 10 times, finding one, trigger enemy rush and lure them to your deadly towers, return to it and make a save, rinse and repeat. once that is done, build up to 50 Morphium Towers anywhere, then find a pond and build a level 3 pump and place a compressor nearby with many wind turbines (don't forget connect them with pipes), and then a decompressor somewhere else. Connect fluid Storages to it, if the final achievement doesn't unlock, try building water filtering plants and cultivators from it, it should unlock.
Happy Hunting and good luck.
