How to unlock the The Big Proposal achievement in The Sims 3 - Definitive Guide
I had their traits as follows: Flirty, Friendly, Lucky and Family Orientated.
Once the game finished loaded, I started flirting and then had a First Kiss (30g). After a bit of flirting, we had Woo Hoo [kind of obvious what this is :p] (40g).
Keep looking in the romance menu and after some more flirting there will be an option to "take things steady". This actually means being in a proper relationship and straight afterwards I proposed and got the achievement (50g).
This is the easiest and quickest way to get the achievement, and you will get others on the way towards it
You must have the Hopeless romantic trait , the Flirty trait , and if you want to make things quicker the great kisser trait .
Now all you have to do is to find a sim and start socializing .
Use your special flirty skills until you see the green social bar fill up and you see the option take things steady .
After that talk to your sim that you got into a relationship with and go to special , hopeless romantic skills and you will find the option to get married. Select the option and the achievement is yours :)
You should go for the same conversation approach that you did for You Never Forget Your First and Woo Hoo! except this time you're going to want to take it another step further. Once you are able to woo hoo with your significant other you won't have to go much further. Keep pouring on the romantic conversation options until she thinks you're irresistable, once you get to that point that's when you should pop the question. If she accepts you will be engaged and you will get the trophy.
To do this try out every available option in the romance tab when interacting with another Sim. After getting the Romance Interest up full with another Sim you can "Propose taking it slow" which will make the Sims become partners. You will then need to "propose marriage" and if successful the achievement will unlock.
