How to unlock the Alphabet Legacy achievement in The Sims 4 - Definitive Guide

Fastest way to get this is adoption, cakes, money, and murder. Just adopt a child, force age to young adult with a cake, have them adoptand repeat until house is full. Drown the 7 older sims in a pool and repeat.

Adoption is 1000 bucks a child so if you run out of money I have a trick for about 20000 easy. Hire a nanny, befriend nanny and ask to move in. When they do you get their funds which is between 18-20k.

Hope this helps!

**Update** Multiple sources have stated that instead of murder you can just manage household to remove Sims. Murder works great if you are working towards any ghost related cheevos as well.

I had one Sim adopt a child, when that child arrived there was two generations. When the child grew up, I had it adopt its own child, now thats 3 generations.

You repeat that till you have 26 generations.

You can do all the ghost achievements while going for this one because there are so many tombstones on your lot. 2-3 ghosts come out every night for me

Shipping people off to another household instead of killing them is definitely they way to go. Only took around an hour to do all 26.

Does the household mean the sims in the family or the house lot? Will the counter reset if I my sim family to a new, larger house? Thanks.

It shouldn't reset since its based off the family tree but Im can't 100% confirm as I never moved house

This is kind of late, but I also found a good way of killing them off is if you've turned them to vampires then you can just go out in the sun. It only takes a few moments once started.

Thank you! Just another +1 that managing household, then transferring sims to a new household is much faster than trying to kill them off. Should add that to solution.. but other than that, it worked great.

Easiest way I know of, is to get a bit of starting cash by going to manage worlds, and having people move into your house and selling lot furniture if they're already in your city. That will do what it sounds like, sell their furniture and give you the $ along with the 20k you're getting already. Now, you must have your initial sim being at least an adult, as young adult and younger are too young to adopt. Adopt a CHILD, nothing younger as this just prolongs everything. Cook a white cake and have the child add birthday candles, then blow them out. Then add birthday candles again, and blow them out again. Making it go from child > young adult > adult. Now you can repeat the process with this sim. You can wait until your household is full to evict them all (except for the last one in the lineage obviously) or evict them every round of adoption. It's up to you, but I prefer to evict them every 3 sims because it makes things tidier and easier to keep track of. I think it'd be quicker to just toss 7 sims out at once though. Killing them is a waste of time and effort. Good luck, not that you'll need it. Because this is far from the worst achievement to obtain in this game.

To unlock the Alphabet Legacy trophy in The Sims 4, you will need to play as a single household for 26 generations.

The quickest way to unlock this trophy is to first build up some money, either by playing naturally and unlocking this trophy as one of the final trophies you unlock, or by managing worlds, and having people move into your house and selling the remaining lot furniture.

Once you have money, evict everyone in your household so that you only have one adult remaining. Adopt a child which cost $1,000, and then force them to age by cooking a cake and having the child blow out the candles. Do that twice, and they will age from Child > Young Adult > Adult.

You can then evict the original adult if you wish (or leave it until you have seven adults to evict which might be a bit quicker, but potentially more confusing).

Have the newly aged adulty adopt a child, force them to age up to adult with a cake again, and rinse and repeat until you have worked through 26 generations.

Birthday cakes will be your best friend for this trophy, as ordinarily this would otherwise take an exceptional amount of time. What you’ll need to start things off with is either have your Sim get pregnant and have a baby (which you’ll need to do anyway for The Circle of Life) or adopt a child by using the PC (costs 1000 Simoleans). It’s up to you which you decide to start a new generation, however, afterwards it’ll be the adoption route for every generation here on out.

Once your Sim has become a parent from either method, you will want to age up your baby/child with birthday cakes. Have your Sim bake a White Cake then choose to Add Candles afterwards. You’ll want your child to blow out the candles as this will immediately age them to the next stage. The ageing scale goes from Baby, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult and Elder. An adult will need to help the Baby and Toddlers blow out the candles. Age up your child so that they’re a Young Adult, as this is the earliest stage in which you can adopt. You can use the same birthday cake to immediately add candles back on and blow them out again to constantly age up. The cake will become spoiled after 10 hours, at which point you’ll need to bake another.

When your child is a Young Adult, take control of their Sim and have them adopt a child from the PC (under household). It’s recommended you adopt a Child (instead of a Baby/Toddler) as they will take less stages to age up to a Young Adult via birthday cakes. When you adopt, the Sim will leave the house and go off to collect your new addition to the family. From here it’s just a case of rinse and repeating, having the newest adopted sim age up until they can then adopt a child themselves.

Once you hit a full household of 8 Sims, you’ll need to move some of them out via Manage Households. The only Sims you’ll want to keep in the household are your main Sim that started it all off and the last Sim which was adopted. Head back into your household once you’re done and continue your adoption cycle. You’ll max out the household a handful of times whilst repeating for 26 generations, so you’ll need to keep moving Sims out. The trophy will pop once the 26th generation adopted child arrives at your household.

The fastest way to get this is through adoption and murder. Just adopt a child, raise him to adulthood, ask him to adopt him already and repeat until the house is full. Drown 7 older Sims in the pool and repeat.
Adoption - 1000 bucks.

I'll add a little:
To do this we need:
- computer;
- cake (it’s better to keep 3-4 in stock, since Sims have a habit of biting them);
- ~30,000 Simbucks (1000 goes for each adoption + 10 for candles on the cake for each growing up)

Further according to the algorithm:
1) Sim(n) adopts Sim(n+1)
2) Growing up Sim(n+1) to a young one by blowing out the candles on the cake
3) Sim(n+1) becomes Sim(n)
Repeat 1-3 until the family is full
After filling, we remove all ancestors and continue until the goal is achieved.

You don’t have to kill, but simply evict him from the family. It's faster than waiting for them to die.

I’ll summarize the information, in case someone is just as stupid as I am, and then they’ll watch the guides on YouTube xD)

We take an adult Sim -> through him we make an adoption, preferably a child, so that we worry less B]-> [/B] we prepare a cake for the adult and put candles on it -> we blow out the candles for the child, and now he has grown, we put the candles again , we blow it out, and he is already an adult.

And for the grown-up Sim we again do adoption and again manipulate the cake, after the family is full, through the “city management” menu you evict the very first ones and continue the generations from the last Sim.
