The Rocket Science skill is required for the Astronaut Career (both Branches). To level this up, you’ll need to purchase the ‘Steampunk Flyamajig’ from the store (in Build Mode) will cost you 5,000 Simoleons. Build your rocket ship on this device and just keep upgrading it with each new part/feature that comes available. Doing so will get you all the way to Level 10.

Your skill will increase faster if you have the “Focused” Moodlet active. Depending on where you put your Rocket Ship, the “Focused Painting” trick may or may not work here, depending on how close you can get it to your Rocket Ship. To create the painting, you will need a Chess Table and an Easel. “Play Chess” at the Chess Table to gain the Focused Moodlet. Once it’s active, you will have the option to “Paint a Mathematical Diagram”. Once it’s complete, open your Sim’s inventory, hover over the painting, and press to pick it up. Place it on the wall OUTSIDE of your house, as close to the ship as you can get it. You can even place a brand new wall in Build Mode if you need to.

Once it’s placed, turn on the Emotional Aura to receive the Focused Moodlet while you work on your Rocket Ship.

Alternatively, you can do the following to get the Moodlet as a 4 hour buff:

• Play Chess
• Ponder Moves at a Chess Table
• View a Focused Painting
• Play Video Games
• Study a Book

With the Aura, you will be able to get to Level 10 before you finish the final upgrade for the Rocket Ship.
