How to unlock the Tender Loving achievement in The Sims 4 - Definitive Guide

Well, in addition to what was provided by the other guide (using books), you can also cheat your way into grinding this skill.

So, to do that, you need to do the following :
Step 1 : Press cn_LTcn_LBcn_RBcn_RT, it should open a command box on the top left corner of your screen, press cn_A
Step 2 : Type the following into your command box Traits.equip_trait SteelBladder and then press Start to gain the trait SteelBladder.
Step 3 : Now repeat step 2 but instead of SteelBladder, enter the following traits :
Needs traits : NeverWeary (Energy need never decrease), ForeverFresh (Hygiene need never decrease), ForeverFull(Hunger need never decrease), NeedsNoOne (Social need never decrease). The only need that will keep going down, depending on the skill you're mastering is the "Fun" one.
Useful traits : Savant (Helps learn skills faster), MorningSim (Helps learn skills faster in the morning)/NightOwl (Helps learn skills faster during the night), sadly only one of those two can be picked.
{I believe I have listed all the traits I used to master my skills but if I forgot some, I will add them later.}

Once you are done adding all required traits, you can click on a bar and select "Mix drinks" and then speed the game on the fastest speed and let your Sim level up its Mixology skill. Thanks to the traits, unless you have a job, you can go from 0 to 10 in one go.
Yes, its cheap, but since it doesn't disable your achievement, why not?

Hope it is useful! Please do leave your comments if you have anything to add.

if just looking for the achievement itself, the sims 4 community has families you can download from the gallery that already have maxed out mixology skill (or just about to reach it), so that is the quickest option available

There are 10 levels to learn. The mixology skills allow your sim to make drinks and entertain others while tending to the bar. They can earn tips while tending the bar. The Homey lot trait will give a sim a +50% gain skill boost if selected.

To get started, simply buy a bar from the buy mode or purchase the mixology books from a bookshelf.

The easiest way to max this skill out is to use the bar. It would take a couple sim days if the sim didn't have a job. The chef career requires this skill and one of the branches of this career is a mixology branch. So you could easily work on both maxing out the skill and maxing out the job.

"it would be faster if the sim didn't have a job"

Unless you're working in a bar or you own one. Then it speeds the process.

1- start a new game
2- don't create a sim, go to the gallery
3- search for "black widow achievement" (just for the money, it won't unlock the black widow trophy anyway). Her name is Rose. It doesn't matter if you don't have any paying pack.
4- start the game. You have 1.300.000 simbucks so buy the house you want
5- go to the gallery again. Search for "Mixology", I took the nice looking guy with the white shirt and black tie. Add him to the household.
6- Now with all that money you can buy a bar, add it to your home and start mixing drinks.
7- Using your phone, business, create yours, buy some land somewhere for your biz, go to gallery buy a nice bar and hire a mixologist so you can become a celebrity mixologist (I did that and never went back to the bar). When creating your bar transfer 100.000 simbucks, it can be useful and you have enough to do it.

That's it for now. I am discovering this game so there might be a better way.

A Bar is required for this trophy. The Mixology Skill is required for the Mixologist Career (Level 10 Cooking, Mixology Branch). To level it up, you can make drinks and practice making drinks, the latter of which is recommended.

Your skill will increase faster if you have the “Inspired” Moodlet active. There is a painting you can buy from the store (in Build Mode) that will activate an Aura that will give you a permanent Inspired Moodlet so long as you are close by. The painting, however, requires you to reach Level 3 of either the Painting or Writing career.

If you don’t have that career level yet, getting inspired is not too difficult. Here are a few different ways to get Inspired:

  • Plunk for Inspiration (Piano Level 3 Required)
  • Pluck for Inspiration (Guitar Level 3 Required)
  • Bow for Inspiration (Violin Level 3 Required)
  • Earn the “Delicious Meal” Moodlet from cooking (Gourmet Cooking level 4 required)
  • Take a Thoughtful Shower
  • Drink Prose and Pop (Mixology Level 1, Bar Required)

The trophy will unlock once you reach Level 10 Mixology.

If you are completing Aspirations for points to spend in the Rewards Store, you want to work on Food - Master Mixologist while leveling up this skill.
