How to unlock the The Circle of Life achievement in The Sims 4 - Definitive Guide
Once the baby is born age up the new born, then bake a cake, add candles, have the toddler blow them out. Repeat until the baby is an elder. Go to your game settings click auto age on, life span as short. After about 5 sim days or so, the elder dies, achievement pops.
Edit: After the most recent update, the achievement finally unlocked for me when I loaded my save.
1. I made the main sim, the original incarnation of this bloodline, and made him have a child. **I want to add here that I used to Vampire pack to keep this sim alive when I turned aging on since they don't age while keeping the child human**
2. I turned aging on and allowed the child to age up until they reached young adult.
3. Immediately I looked for someone for this sim to marry/impregnate. I used a Gardner that was glitched on my porch.
4. After having a baby to add to the bloodline I allowed this sim to age gracefully by setting my lifespan to short.
Voila, this popped the achievement when he died.
**As a note: The Sims 4 achievements do sometimes glitch, so if this doesn't pop immediately save and exit the game then reload. It should pop then; if not just rinse and repeat until it does.
You can either combine this with starting a new generation for Alphabet Legacy or just do it separately. You’ll firstly need to get your Sim pregnant, you can do this by building up your romance bar with another Sim until the option to Try for a Baby appears when selecting your bed. You’ll need the bar around halfway for this to become available. You can select the toilet to use a pregnancy test afterwards. Once pregnant and having gone through your trimesters and labour, you’ll have a baby that’ll be ready to age up.
Select the baby in the cot and choose to “Age Up”. Now that they’re able to walk, bake a White Cake and choose to Add Candles. Have your child blow out the candles so that they instantly age up to the next stage. Keep adding candles back onto the cake so you can repeatedly blow them out and progress through the ages. The last stage of ageing you’ll hit is Elder, from here you’ll need to live out the rest of your days naturally. Save your game at this point as you’ll need to change your game settings so that Auto-Age Played Sims is switched on, otherwise your Sim won’t age and therefore cannot die. You can revert back to your save afterwards so your main Sim hasn’t aged or just continue.
If you select the Simology tab you’ll see an aging bar at the top, this will now start to fill up green as the days go by. It will take around a week for the bar to fill up as an Elder, once full their demise should shortly follow. Once they collapse to the floor and Grim comes to take them away, the trophy will pop.
