How to unlock the 3-2-1 achievement in The Surge - Definitive Guide

After you give the black box to guy at the ops station (and providing you have made it to R and D in the main game or are on new game +. If you do not meet either of these you will have to return to the main game, beat the 3rd boss to get to r and d then head back to creo world) he will tell you to head to the roller coaster to get to the lower level of Creo world.

Once down there he will mention you are not far from the Rusty Spring Tower and you might be able to get it going from down there.

The path you can follow will fork and there are signs pointing left to the Rusty Spring and right to Skybound.

Head left and jump into the lift. On the ride up the achievement will pop and you have just unlocked a shortcut.

To get this trophy you will need to unlock Rusty Spring Tower, by unlocking the shortcut via the elevator to lead back to the Medbay Area.

This can only be done the second time you come to CREO World, after beating the first boss of the DLC, going through the main campaign till you get to the R&D area, and coming back to CREO World after the Operator asks you to come back. You will be tasked to use the Firestarter Rollercoaster to get to the new area, The Rusty Spring Tower. After the coaster ride, follow the story path till you come to a cross road in the Park Maintenance area. There will be two paths. The left one is a small corridor leading to the Rusty Spring Tower with the elevator, and the right path leads up several stairs that goes towards the CREO Station area.

Go left and simply use the elevator to activate the shortcut, while also unlocking the trophy.

The beginning of the second half of the DLC has you using a roller coaster (the Firestarter), and upon stopping, you'll need to follow the path in the video below. You'll likely come across this naturally when exploring, since the Operator mentions it right when you arrive.

After defeating Squad Leader Helwig, the roller coaster is activated, and the hero rides it to the location with this elevator! Video guide (en).

You can miss the trophy! The trophy itself is elementary, but I managed to miss it. So, after the first boss of the DLC, Squad Leader Helwig, don’t forget to activate the shortcut in the form of an elevator and the trophy is yours.
