This achievement is story related and cannot be missed. After getting off the train at the beginning of the game just follow the linear path. You will end up at two rooms giving you a choice between two rigs: LYNX and RHINO. Once you choose either, the achievement unlocks. Don't worry about which to pick, as you'll be able to get both armor sets early on.
