How to unlock the Brave New World achievement in The Surge - Definitive Guide

To save time and not need to go in New Game + to get the 2 successes "The Brave New World" and "For the good of humanity", in your first part, you must COMPLETELY finish game WITHOUT corrupting the Utopia protocols.

I advise you to let yourself be killed once by the boss to reappear in the final fight and turn off the game to produce a synchronization. Go fight the boss, after seeing the credits of the game, have achieved your success "The Brave New World" and have reappeared in your New Game +, (do not leave the game not to save) follow the following steps:

- XBOX button
- Manage the game
- Recorded data
- Delete the game data from the console (do not delete the ones from the cloud) and check that the data is deleted
- Restart the game

So you'll reappear in front of the final boss's fight, all you have to do is corrupt Utopia's protocols and beat the boss for success "For the good of humanity". In one part, you will have these 2 successes and in New Game +, you will only have to finish your last missing successes

Still works. All though I don’t know why I did it as I still have to go to the last area of the game as I messed up the Alec quest by not returning robot leg before moving to last area. Still 1 less boss to do again though.

Should be top solution, don’t know why people down voted it.

just an FYI, this no longer works. after the credit it brings you to the main menu instead of dropping you right into the ng+. maybe if you want to try this method right after the achievement pops it could work, but its too late for me to try it

On the final level, Nucleus,in the room called Utopia Preparation Classified, there will be a console next to the core of the rocket that you can interact with to upload the virus, DO NOT upload the virus but then beat the game to get this achievement. Uploading the virus will net you the "For the Good of Mankind" achievement. Will require two playthroughs minimum to get this.

Did this in my NG+ but neither this nor the "The Surge" achievement poped for me, until I started NG++. Then both pop after the operation where you get the rig affixed.

I wonder if on your first run you can play offline at the end and then do as Hratgrad said and take the game to NG+ to be sure. Then quit the game delete the save and resync the cloud save and do the other ending?

I'm pretty close guess I could test it , just wondering if you tried already? Actually think I did that for lords of the fallen.

DO NOT ATTEMPT getting the achievement offline. Not only will you not get any achievement, but the save game will also get synced as you go online even though the game isn't started (don't know if MS changed something about save game syncing). So you will get no achievement, and you'll be forced to do two more playthroughs. You have been warned.

I agree with what was said. Do not attempt this off-line. i used a save point From a second consul just before the Bossfight and the achievement did not unlock when I log back on line

You can do a variation of Calex's suggestion. See daamdaam45's solution for the other endgame achievement for details:

The key difference is: play online to get the achievement (and pray you don't get an unlucky cloud save sync in the background). As soon as you get it, delete the local save, redownload, do the other endgame achievement.

In order to get this ending, you will need to avoid uploading the virus into the missile. Instead, you will want to just open the gate that is blocking you by going to the third floor and overloading the circuit up there then head back down to the bottom floor and go through the now open gate. After you have fought the boss, you will go through this ending and during the credits you will obtain this trophy.

In Nucleus, there's a console located in a room called 'Utopia Projects Classified'. Leaving the console alone will, after defeating the final boss', yield you this achievement, while uploading the virus will yield "For the Good of Mankind."

You must not introduce the virus into the unit at the lower level of the final location and immediately go to fight the final boss.

You can get it in one playthrough if you make a backup save before introducing or not introducing the virus.

It’s better to play it safe and backup your save the first time you meet a rocket - people write they couldn’t introduce the virus after overloading the circuit on the 3rd floor and go to the second ending, although everything was fine for me
otherwise you'll have to beat ng+ for the second ending
