How to unlock the Trapper achievement in The Technomancer - Definitive Guide
All you simply need to do is invest one point into the exploration tree (under talents). Simply kill creatures and press X to skin them when combat is over! Creatures respawn when you revisit an area, so this should come naturally when you kill them over and over again.

This one bugged out for me and no amount of skinning (on my main playthrough OR a freshly created character) unlocked it. I literally had to wipe the game and ALL its saves off the harddrive and reinstall. On a fresh new start it then unlocked 30 minutes into the game after reaching the city and farming the creatures in the lower levels of it.

In order to obtain this achievement, you need to put at least one point into the exploration tree that is located in your talents. For ease, when you begin the game you can simply put one point in exploration. After you have put one point in the tree, you can now skin creatures by running over their corpses and pressing the x button. Here is a picture of where the skill is located:
I personally find this achievement easier to obtain if you go into the sewer system and kill the creatures there. When you leave the area and come back, the creatures respawn and you can do it until the achievement unlocks.
I hope this helps! Let me know if there is any way I can improve this guide, after downvoting so that I can maybe improve the guide. Thanks and good luck!

You will need one point in the Exploration talent to be able to skin creatures. I would suggest getting this talent second, as it takes a long time to do and yields good crafting items for "DIY freak." At the beginning of Chapter 2, there are dozens of creatures to fight and they all respawn if you leave the area and return though.
